"Good morning everyone, this is pilot Nikiforov speaking. We're gonna have a mostly smooth flight on our way to Charles de Gualle Airport in Paris, France. We predict that there will be some rough turbulence, and we will tell you more about the conditions as we approach. Please stay in your seats with your buckles on as our airhosts do there demonstration. We'll be in the take-off line shortly, enjoy the flight!"

The announcement clicked off and I watched carefully as one of the hosts walked up near where we were sitting to demonstrate all the safety-stuff.

I could here Levi chuckle as I stared at the ladies, mentally making sure I would remember this, just in case.

"You know that the odds that the plane will crash is 1 in a 11 million? I think you'll be fine." He smiled gently, leaning back in his seat.

"Yeah, but we could easily be the 1." I shrugged, trying to not show how nervous I really was. I honestly never thought I would be scared of flying, but all of a sudden my nerves were jumping around all over me.

Levi was sitting opposite me in the spacious first class compartment. Well, it was open to the rest of the plane besides the small wall in the center for the tv and snack tray. The seats were long and were probably made to fit more people, but there was a nice open space between us to stretch our legs.

I stared quietly out the window as Levi texted on his phone. The sun was shining more brightly then it had been earlier and the sky looked perfectly clear. Safe enough I guess.

"Seatbelts all good?" I turned and saw a pretty lady with short dark hair poke her head into the opening. She was wearing the airlines red and pink uniform with short black heels.

"Yeah, I think so." I smiled. She nodded and her eyes lingered on me a second longer then they had too. She then turned and I could hear her heels click against the airplanes floor.

"Don't tease the girls, Eren." Levi clicked his tongue, glancing up from his phone. My face turned red as I uncomfortably laughed.

"I did not, I'm just being the friendly one in the relationship." I argued. He just smiled and looked back at his phone.

I could remember the days I thought he never smiled or laughed or anything but take pictures. I've learned quite a lot since then.

Then the fucking plane started moving. Fast.

I gripped the arm rest tighter then anything I've ever gripped before. I urged myself to not look out the window, eventually just deciding to close my eyes. I held my breath as the plane tumbled forward, and began to rise slowly upward.

I suddenly felt a warm hand enclose around my fist, unraveling it and lacing their fingers with mine.

"It's alright, everything's okay." He whispered. I didn't respond, but focused all my energy into holding his hand.

After a while, I could feel the tightness in my stomach settling as the plane became smoother. I opened my eyes to see Levi starring directly at me. My face turned red with embarrassment and I quickly let go of his hand.

"Thank you." I sighed at last, leaning back into the comfortable seat. He just smiled and nodded, turning to look out his window.

I felt a vibration in my back pocket, which was strange since we were high in the air at this point. Levi gave me a confused look as I took out my phone to answer, but before I could the line got cut off and I could only read the number.

"Who was that?" He asked leaning forward. I shrugged, but I couldn't help but recognize the number...
