A Calvin and Hobbes Two shot reader insert requested by @SamanthaTorres690

This little book of short stories has exploded, wow. 

Your name is Lydia and you become fast friends with Calvin and Hobbes.

Calvin and Hobbes footsteps can be heard as they run down the staircase and out the front door. They heard the sound of the Thursday summer morning trash truck and had to watch it collect the trash on the block as their weekly tradition. Calvin didn't realize that he had slept through the rumbling truck noises so he was confused when a giant moving truck was backing into the driveway of the house across the street.

"Dang it! We missed it, Hobbes. I wonder who is moving in? That house has been empty for two years," Calvin spoke.

"I dunno. Maybe they won't have any obnoxious kids. We can only handle having one per block," Hobbes teases and covers his mouth with his paw to hide his laughter. 

"Heyyy," Calvin warns and walks back into the house.

Later that day...

Calvin's mom calls from the kitchen, "Calvin, come meet the new neighbors with me. I made some chocolate chip cookies for them as a housewarming gift."

"I don't wanna," Calvin whines.

"They might have another kid your age. Now come on," His mom persuaded.

Calvin drags himself and his stuffed tiger over to the new neighbor's house and plops himself down on the paved walkway to the front door. He lays flat on his back and moans saying that he wished he were dead instead of being in this moment. His parents roll their eyes as the door opens and two adults answer. 

Calvin's dad explains why they are there, "Hello, we are your neighbors across the street and we've come to welcome you into the neighborhood. This is my wife and that's my son, Calvin" he motions in the direction of each person. 

"And this is Hobbes," Calvin sat up and held his tiger in the air to show the confused neighbors and then lays back down on the concrete. 

"Oh" the neighbors reply and begin introducing themselves, "we have a daughter named Lydia." They then proceed to call her name and she comes running to the doorway. 

"Eww, a gir-" Calvin didn't finish the word because he saw before him an angel. Lydia walked through the doorway and shyly waved at Calvin's family.

Later that day...

"Hobbes we need to have a G.R.O.S.S. meeting" Calvin whispers as he and Hobbes sneak out the back door and up into the treehouse. 

Calvin and Hobbes discuss

Lydia comes over to say hi

Asks about other girls in the neighborhood. 

Calvin finds Lydia playing with Suzie he becomes mad and jealous.

Plans G.R.O.S.S. prank

bullied but she stands up for Calvin.

OKAY So basically I was supposed to finish this like two summers ago but I just had no inspiration and at this point, nothing else is going to happen. You see the outline of what it was going to be.

Maybe I'll post the outline for part 2? idk. Maybe one day I'll actually finish this? No clue. Enjoy I guess? Sorry person who requested. I just did not feel like writing more. 

I hope you all have a lovely new year! I plan on writing in my other stories in 2019 so keep an eye out  :)
