- It's been too long - a voice in the darkness said.

- They probably noticed something was odd, Velocity - a quieter voice replied.

Velocity sighed loudly and shook her head, stepping out of the dark. A small, cream colored dove landed on her head.

- Don't be like that. Soon, when we'll find all of the missing pieces, you'll show everyone in Media what will be the payment for not being devoted to you -  the bird said.

- I know it Dove, but I feel like they'll send someone to stop us - the cat replied, sitting down.

-Don't worry. It'll be just as we planned - Dove said.

Meanwhile, Music was doing her best to not get annoyed by Flare's behavior. He kept on talking to Photo about some not important things and not focusing on their objective. Music sighed loudly, making the Courier shut up.

- Photo, are you sure that we're going in the correct direction? - she said, looking at the british shorthair.

- Um, by everything Keyboard and Microphone told me I think that's where we're supposed to go - Photo replied.

Music nodded and kept on walking. They walked for a short time in awkward silence.

- Can we stop now? I can't feel my paws - Photo whined and lied down underneath a tree.

- I guess we deserve a rest, we've been on our paws for very long - Flare said and sat down.

Music did the same and stared at the tip of her tail for a short time. A beam of yellow light brought her back to reality. Looking up she saw that Flare had a yellow and orange flame made of magic bursting around one of his paws. Photo gasped and her fur visibly stood.

- Flare! If anyone catches us like that, we're dead! - she hissed.

- Don't worry, miss Photo. I did that a few times in my home and nobody noticed -  Flare calmly replied.

But Music was actually kinda worried. They were still not so far away from Capital City, someone could notice.

- Flare stop it. Now. I don't want to get in trouble because of you - she said and licked her paw.

Courier only stared at her for a moment and then the flame disappeared.

Velocity suddenly stood up.

- They have sent someone. And they can use magic -  she said, with wide eyes.

- Calm down Velocity. They might be unverified, not a mage -  Dove replied.

- I know, but I feel like one of them has a lot of power in themself - the cat responded.

- You're being paranoid. And remember, you're stronger than they are.
