A BMW zoomed in the school campus. A driver came out of the car and opened the backseat's door. A girl in her 16s came out of the car in attitude while holding her bagpack. She was none other than Anika Kapoor, the richest and hottest girl of the school.

She started Making her way through the corridors of the school. All the boys were oggling at her while the girls were jealous of her.

She went towards canteen and found her best friend, Gauri ragging some juniors.

A- Hey Ri.

G- Hi Ani.

A- What are you doing?

G- Nothing. Just having some fun.

Gauri said with a smirk and Anika smirked back.

A- Let's have the fun together then.

Anika and Gauri sat on the table and started finding their new target.

Their eyes then fell on a boy with spects who was going towards the canteen counter. Gauri and Anika looked at each other and smirked.

Anika whistled loudly and that boy looked at her. She hooked her finger and signed him to come to them.

The boy went towards them.

A- New admission?

The boy nodded in yes. Anika smirked.

A- Name?

B- Shivaay Singh Oberoi.

A- Hmm.. Nice name. But we have a new ritual for the new comers and you have to follow this.

Shivaay frowns in confusion.

A- According to this ritual, you have to dance on an item song in front of the whole college. So you have to follow the tradition.

Anika said with a smirk.

S- This is wrong. I won't do anything like this. You are ragging the new comers and it is illegal. You can't do that.

A- Oh! So you will tell us what is legal and what's illegal? I think you don't know me. I'm the daughter of the trustee of this school.

S- Your father is the trustee of this college, not you so don't order me.

He was about to leave when Anika said something which made him mad in anger.

A- What do you think of yourself? Noone ever dared to deny Anika Kapoor. I have the authority to do anything in this school. Ya right. What will you know about authority? Your family must be beggars, right?

Shivaay was flaring in anger. His eyes fell on a glass of water kept on the table. He picked it up and threw it on Anika's face.

Anika was totally shocked. Everyone present around them gasped in shock including Gauri.

S- When you don't know about something then you have no right to say about that. Get it.

Shivaay took his bag and headed towards his class.

Anika was fuming in anger. She got hold of a glass jug and threw it on the floor and it shattered into pieces.

A- HOW DARE HE? YOU DID VERY WRONG, MR. SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI. NOW YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

She went out of the canteen in anger and Gauri followed her.

After sometime, Anika and Gauri went to their class and sat on their seats. Gauri used to sit with Omkara, her boyfriend and Anika liked to sit alone. After few minutes, the teacher entered the class with Shivaay.

T- Good Morning students. He is Shivaay Singh Oberoi, a new student. He's the only student to get 100% scholarship in this school. He's new in this school so I expect that you all will help him to adjust here.

The whole class was silent because they didn't want to be there in Anika's bad books. Anika was fuming in anger after seeing him.

T- Shivaay, you can go and sit there.

The teacher pointed to the seat beside Anika. Shivaay looked at her and went to sit beside her.

He took out his books from the bag and started reading it. Anika was continuously glaring at him. Shivaay was aware of her glare but he chose to ignore it.

Anika bent a little towards him.

A- Don't think that you'll be spared after what you did to me. You'll have to pay for it and that too really bad.

S- Let the game begin then.

Shivaay said with a smirk. Anika glared at him angrily.

It was lunch time, Shivaay occupied the table at the corner in the canteen. While Anika was sitting at the centre table with her gang which included Gauri, Omkara, Tia and Daksh. In short, they were the gang of spoilt rich kids.

T- Anika babe, I heard what happened with you earlier in the morning. I feel so sorry for you babe.

Anika glared at her.

A- I'm fine, Tia and you don't need to feel anything for me.

Tia just rolled her eyes. Anika always knew that Tia and Daksh were there in her group because Anika was the most richest girl in their whole group and her father was trustee of the school and all they wanted was power.

D- But how dare that guy to throw water in your face. I mean look at him, he looks so shabby and downmarket. But are you fine, baby?

A- Stop it, Daksh. I know what happened with me but you don't have to remind me again and again. Don't ever call me that.

G- let's stop this topic guys.

O- Yes I think Gauri is right. Let's leave this matter.

A- No. This matter won't end till the time I take my revenge. Mr. Smarty pants has to learn his lesson.

T- What are you planning, babe?

A- Come here.

Anika told them the plan and all of them smirked except OmRi who exchanged worried looks with each other.

O- Anika, I think this is not a good plan. It might harm him.

G- Yes Anika. You might regret it later.

A- Stop it guys. It's just for few hours then we'll free him. I just want to teach him a lesson that no one ever messes with Anika Kapoor. Now, get on the work guys.

It was finally end of today's day at school. Shivaay was walking in the corridor when Tia stopped him.

T- Hey. Are you Shivaay Singh Oberoi?

S- Yes.

T- Principal sir is calling you in his cabin.

S- okay. Please can you tell me the directions of his office. Actually I'm new here.

T- Ya sure. Take a left at the end of the corridor and the second room is principal's cabin.

S- Thanks.

Tia went to Anika who was hiding behind a pillar and hi-fived with her.

Shivaay went to the room as directed. It was a store room. He was confused and was about to leave when the door got locked from outside.

Shivaay banged on the door and shouted to open it but it didn't got opened.

Outside, Daksh, Tia and Anika smirked.

T- Now he'll surely learn his lesson.

A-Yes. Okay, now I've to go. Dad has called me and he wants to talk something important. But one of you stay here and unlock the door after an hour.

Daksh and Tia nodded their head and Anika left.

Daksh and Tia smirked at each other.

D- The door will open in the morning only.

T- Let's go and have some fun baby.

They left from there.

Here, Shivaay was banging the door but no one opened it.

He hit his fist on the door hard.

S- Sh*t.

After few minutes, the power of the room went off and everything became black. Now the room was getting suffocating for Shivaay. He was having problem in breathing.

It was 7 in the evening. Anika was pacing in her room restlessly.

Suddenly her cellphone started ringing. It was Gauri. Anika answered the call.

A- Hello.

G- Ani, are you fine? Why are you sounding so restless?

A- I don't know Ri, but I've a feeling that something's not right.

G- What happened, Ani?

A- I don't know. Again and again my mind is going towards that Shivaay. Did I do the right thing?

G- Ani, are you sure that you unlocked the door?

A- I... I.. Don't know. I asked Daksh and Tia to do that.

G- Really Ani? You trusted them? Did you asked them if they did or not?

A- I was calling them but they are not answering my call. I think I've to go and check once.

G- Do you want me to come with you?

A- No. I'll manage. I'll call you later.

G- Okay. Take care. Bye.

A- Bye.

Anika hurriedly took her bag and rushed towards her car and asked the driver to drive her to the school.

As soon as she reached the school, she hurriedly ran towards the gate. The warchman stopped her from entering.

W- You can't enter the school at this time.

Anika glared at him.

A- Don't you know me, my father is the trustee of this school and if you don't want to lose your job then let me enter.

W- But....

A- I SAID OPEN THE GATE.

The watchman hurriedly opened the gate. Anika ran towards the store room.

She immediately unlocked the door and was shocked to see Shivaay lying down on the floor unconscious.

She ran towards him and called out his name.

A- Shivaay. Shivaay. Open your eyes.

She kept his head on her lap and patted his cheek to make him conscious.

She then grabbed her bag and took out a water bottle. She sprinkled some water on his face and Shivaay finally starting gaining consciousness. Anika sighed in relief.

A- Are you fine?

Shivaay immediately sat up straight and nodded his head.

S- After locking me up here for six hours, you're asking me if I'm fine. That's so nice of you. I'm very grateful.

Shivaay said sarcastically and Anika lowered her eyes in guilt.

A- I... I....

S- Forget it.

Shivaay stood up and went towards the gate and Anika followed him.

While reaching towards the gate, Shivaay again started feeling dizzy when Anika held him.

A- See, You're not looking fine, I'll drop you at your home.

S- You've already done enough for me. Now no need to show me your fake sympathy. I'll manage my way home.

A- Look, I'm sorry. Please let me drop you.

Shivaay knew he wasn't feeling well and it will be a risk to travel to his home alone so he nodded his head.

Anika immediately went towards the car and opened the door for him. Shivaay looked at her stunned and then sat inside the car.

Shivaay looked at his phone and groaned in frustration as there were 8 missed calls from Work.

S- Sh*t.

He typed a message that he couldn't make it today because of personal issues and sent it on the same number.

A- What happened?

S- I can't go to my work place today just because of you.

Anika looked at him shockingly.

A- You work?

S- Of course. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth like you.

Anika averted her gaze and looked outside the window and some tears pricked her eyes.

Finally they stopped in front of Shivaay's house.

A- You live here?

S- Yes. Did you expected a mansion or something?

A- No. I meant to say that it looks beautiful. I mean you and your family must cross your ways thousand times here in this cozy house and you might share a talk, a laugh or a smile. Sometimes mansions can create a lot of distance between people.

Anika chuckled bitterly.

S- I don't have a family. I live here alone.

A- What? Your family?

S- I don't know them. I'm an orphan.

A- I'm so sorry.

S- it's okay.

A- So....I mean are you gonna be all by yourself?

S- Of course, who else will be there to accompany me? A Ghost or a Devil?

Anika chuckled.

A- I can.

Shivaay looked at her shockingly.

A- I mean I can accompany you.

S- You? May I know why?

A- To be honest, I really want to see your home. Please. And I can even help you doing house chores.

S- Ok.

Anika excitedly jumped out of the car and they entered Shivaay's house.

A- Wow. It looks so cozy. You know what, I can kill someone to live in this house.

S- Oh! But please don't kill me.

They both burst into laughter.

Suddenly Anika noticed blood on Shivaay's arm.

A- Are you hurt?

Shivaay looked at his arm and shook his head.

S- Just a cut. Nothing big.

A- Tell me where's your first aid kit?

S- It's fine.

A- No tell me.

Shivaay pointed to a chest of drawers.

S- In the second drawer.

Anika nodded and grabbed the first aid kit. She made him sit on the sofa and sar in front of him. She started dressing his wound while Shivaay was looking at her.

S- You know it seems that I've met somebody different in the morning. It's so not you.

Anika firstly looked at him and then averted her gaze and concentrated on his wound.

A- It's done.

Shivaay concluded that she doesn't want to talk about her behavior.

S- Do you want to eat something? I'm going to cook dinner.

A- You know how to cook?

S- Of course. I wouldn't have starved to death from childhood.

A- Hmm. You can cook whatever you want.

S- Okay then. I'll cook some noodles.

A- That sounds good to me.

Shivaay went towards kitchen and Anika followed him.

Shivaay took out the noodles packet from the cupboard and then the required utensils.

Anika was looking amused while seeing all the utensils. Shivaay noticed her expressions.

S- What happened?

A- I've never seen someone cook?

Shivaay looked at her shockingly.

S-Really?

Anika nodded her head.

A- I've never been into kitchen. All the food in my house is cooked by chefs. So...

S- It's okay. I understand. Now you can see me cook.

Anika nodded her head excitedly.

Shivaay started cooking noodles and Anika was looking each of his actions keenly.

S- And Done.

Shivaay served the noodles on two plates.

A- Where is the dining area?

S- We're not going to eat here.

Anika frowned in confusion.

A- Then Where?

S- Let's go.

Shivaay started making his way on the stairs and Anika followed him.

Shivaay took her to the balcony and Anika was stunned to see the beauty of the place.

A- Woow Shivaay. It's so beautiful.

Shivaay smiled.

S- I know. I usually eat here. Its peaceful here.

A- Hmm.

Shivaay and Anika sat down and started eating their dinner.

S- It's the first time when I've a company with me.

Anika looked at him amusingly.

A- Really? Your friends?

S- I don't have any friends. I was so busy in my daily life of school and job that I didn't get time to befriend someone.

A- So Am I your first friend?

S- are we even friends? I don't even know you.

A- Noone knows the real me except Gauri.

Shivaay looked at her surprisingly.

A- The girl in the morning you saw wasn't the real me. It was a facade to cover the weak and vulnerable Anika who is broken into pieces. It's to protect this Anika so that the world can't hurt her.

Shivaay looked at Anika but didn't have a heart to interupt her.

A- I was 10 when my mother left me and Dad for her lover. She just ran away without taking care of anything even me. Next day, she sent divorce papers to my dad and a letter with it. After reading that letter, dad was broken. I didn't knew what was happening and even dad didn't tell me anything so at night, I sneaked that letter out and believe me that was my biggest mistake. It broke the palace of my dreams into pieces. She had written that her marriage with my dad and I was the biggest mistake of her life. She went away with her lover because now she wanted to live her life. Dad was broken. He also forgot that he has a daughter. He immersed himself in work and stopped paying attention to me. He just used to send money for my needs and appointed a driver and a car for me. That day I lost both of my parents.

Anika was crying badly and Shivaay held her hand. Anika hugged him.

Shivaay rubbed her back to calm her down. After sometime, she stopped crying and was just sniffing a little.

S- Are you okay, friend?

Anika nodded her head with a wide smile. Shivaay also smiled back.

A- I think I should go home. It's already 10.

Shivaay nodded his head.

Anika went downstairs and Shivaay followed her till her car.

S- Bye.

A- Bye. See you in the school, friend.

Shivaay smiled and Anika left to her home with a constant smile playing on her lips.

NEXT DAY

Anika reached college with a big smile playing on her lips.

She looked around for Shivaay but didn't find him. She frowned to herself.

A- Now. Where is this smarty pants?

She headed to her class and her eyes fell on Shivaay who was already sitting at the first seat.

A(thinks) - First seat really? Who's that boring? Forget it.

She went and sat beside him. The whole class gasped in shock for two reasons- first that Anika is sitting with the boy who insulted her the previous day and second that she is sitting at the first seat.

A- Hi friend.

S- Hi friend.

At the same time, teacher entered the class. The class continued.

It was lunch time, Anika's gang and Shivaay entered the canteen.

Shivaay was going towards the corner table when Anika held his hand.

A- Sit with us.

S- No. Please Anika. I can't. I'm not comfortable. Please.

Anika slowly left his hand and nodded his head. Shivaay went to his corner table.

Anika went to her regular centre table. She saw Tia and Daksh laughing on something. Gauri and Omkara weren't there because they went to Om's hometown as his grandmother wasn't well.

Anika angrily went towards Daksh and Tia. Daksh and Tia smiled looking at Anika.

T- Hey babe.

D- Hey Anika.

A- What did you do with Shivaay? I told you both to unlock the door after an hour then why didn't you?

T- Babe, that idiot deserved that for insulting you.

D- Yes Tia is right. He was being oversmart. So we thought to make him learn his lesson better.

A-You're noone to decide that. Get it. You both were always there with me for my power and my money but now you won't get either of them so get lost.

Daksh and Tia were shocked.

T- What? You can't do this.

A- I can and I'm doing this.

Anika was going towards Shivaay's table when Daksh stopped her.

D- Where are you going?

A- To my true friend.

Anika went and sat in front of Shivaay. Shivaay was surprised to see her.

S- What are you doing here? I mean won't you sit at your friend's table.

A- No. There's a rule in friendship that you should not leave your friends alone. They aren't my friends except Gauri and Om. Now tell me what are you eating?

S- Nothing special. I just brought sandwiches from home.

Anika's widened.

A- And you didn't offered me your handmade heavenly food.

Shivaay chuckled at her over acting.

S- Have it. I brought some for you too.

Shivaay said with a smile. Anika smiled and took the sandwich and started eating it happily.

After finishing her lunch, they were heading towards their next class when Anika stopped him.

A- Shivaay, I want to discuss something very important with you.

S- What?

A- Will you teach me mathematics? I'm very bad at it and that subject is killing me. Please. Please.

S- Okay. So when can we start?

Shivaay said with a chuckle.

A- Today. At your place.

Anika said excitedly.

S- Okay

After all the classes were over, Shivaay headed towards parking lot.

A- Where are you going?

S- I'm going to take my bike.

A- You have a bike?

Shivaay nodded his head.

A- Ok. Then I'll come with you.

S- No Anika. I think you should come in your car because I'm sure that you haven't travelled on a bike ever.

A- Yes you're right. I've not travelled on a bike but i want to. Please Shivaay. Please.

Anika made a puppy face and Shivaay sighed in defeat.

S- Okay.

A- Yaaaayyy..

Anika squealed in joy and Shivaay shook his head in disbelief.

They went to Parking lot and Shivaay sat on his bike.

Anika looked at the bike totally stunned.

S- What happened?

A- This is so beautiful.

Shivaay smiled.

S- I know. I collected money for 7 years to buys this.

A- You mean you are saving for this bike since you were 10.

Anika asked coming out of her shock. Shivaay nodded his head.

A- How do I sit on this?

S- Like I'm sitting.

A- Very funny.

S- Ok. Put your one hand on my shoulder and then sit on it while crossing legs on both sides.

Anika did as said and successfully on it.

Shivaay started driving. Anika closed her eyes and was feeling the fresh air.

Finally they reached Shivaay's house and sat in his room to study maths. Shivaay was teaching her while she was just looking around the room. Shivaay saw this and hit a pen on her head lightly and Anika's mouth opened in shock.

She picked up a pillow and started beating him. Shivaay also picked up a pillow and this lead to a pillow fight. Then they fell on the bed smiling.

Few days later, it was Maths test result and Anika was very tensed because she didn't want to let down Shivaay. Finally the result was out and Anika scored first rank. She was jumping here and there in happiness.

She screamed in joy and Shivaay chuckled at her excitement.

Shivaay and Anika were sitting at the ice cream parlour fighting for each other's ice cream. Anika was trying to take Shivaay's ice cream but he was hiding his ice cream. Anika made an angry pout and went out of the ice cream parlour. Shivaay came behind her and gave her his ice cream. Anika smiled widely and pecked his cheek while Shivaay bkushed.

It was another day after school. Anika was waiting for Shivaay to take her to his home. Some boys came there and started staring at her. Anika was getting uncomfortable. At the same time, Shivaay came there with his bike. He noticed everything.

He went towards those boys.

S- If you ever look at her then trust me, I'll be the one to pluck out your eyeballs. Get it.

Shivaay came back to Anika and Anika hugged him tightly with a smile.

Shivaay and Anika started find their solace in each other. Anika usually liked to live at Shivaay's house. She started feeling the warmth which she missed at her mansion. Shivaay also liked Anika's company.

They started developing feelings for each other. Their day was incomplete without seeing each other.

Finally it was the day of farewell. Everyone was parting their ways.

Shivaay and Anika were also sad what if they had to part ways. Their relationship was named as 'just friends' which troubled them because both of them knew they had feelings for each other. But they were scared what if the confession results in the end of their friendship.

Today it was last day of school- the Farewell Party.

They entered the party Hall and the party was going on full swing.

They danced for a while then Shivaay went on the stage and stopped the music.

S- Can I have your attention please? Especially you Anika because this is for you.

Anika looked at him attentively. She was confused that what he was doing.

S- I know I'm a fool that I made this late for telling you that what I have for you in my heart. I know when we first met, it wasn't so good as you told me to dance on item song and I threw water on your face.

Everyone chuckled and Anika smiled with teary eyes.

S- Then we befriended each other while sharing our pasts. You are my first friend who will be there forever. We are unbreakable because whoever tries to break us, we break his bones.

Anika again chuckled knowing how they beat Daksh when he tried to create misunderstanding between them.

S- But I never knew when I fell in love with you. I found my solace in you. I see you as my best friend, lover and life partner. I want to share every moment of mine with you. I want to wake up at 2 am, roll over and see your face and know that I'm at the right place where I was supposed to be.

Tears started flowing from her eyes.
Shivaay got down from the stage and went towards her. He bent down on his one knee and took out a ring.

S- I love you Anika. Will you be mine forever?

Anika nodded her head while sniffing.

She made him stand and hugged him tightly.

S- I love you too Smarty pants.

Shivaay chuckled and they hugged each tightly.

"To be loved is to find happiness in the arms of someone you trust and this is the most comforting feeling you could ever have through all the challenges, life may throw at you. "
