"He is possessed by an ancient demon, the demon in him overtakes his soul. It is the one haunting you."

Isadora looked at the priest, her mind tumbling over different thoughts until she found the right question to ask, "Why would the demon haunt me? Do you mean His lordship isn't aware that he hurts me? I'm confused."

The priest's eyes were deceiving, Isadora knew. His eyes looked pleasing, relaxed, and terrifying, but she knew there were thousands of things those eyes had spotted. All she just needed was to make him say it. Everything seemed just too overbearing for her. She is caught up with something hard surviving from. How would she ever be sane hearing that she has been living with a demon? That she would give birth to a demon's child? Horrible! What was she thinking? Does this mean that ...Oh no! She wasn't going to think of it anymore! Why would a demon decide to sleep with her and haunt her at the same time? No, why was she dumb?! She was deceived by His lordship's kind gestures!

"He shows kindness to you, sometimes? You can't blame his lordship, princess. In his body are two different souls. One overpowers the other. In this case, it is most likely the demon."

She breathed hard. She was only understanding just now but she needed more answers. And foremost, she needed to get rid of the baby in her. The baby in her could not come into the world. Not at all!

"But...why is the demon trying to kill me?"

"I will tell you, why." The priest sat down on the floor and told her to do the same. Without further hesitation, she did, her eyes staring at his. "Your left hand," he requested.

She stretched her left hand and he held it tight. "Close your eyes, princess." Her eyes shuttered and after some seconds she heard him say, "Open them."

She fluttered them open. Tears sparkling like marbles mended and were caged in them. Threatening to drop.

"You look a lot like the goddess who deceived and imprisoned him for a thousand years, princess," he said those words in one breath, and Isadora could feel a slow tension rising from him.

"The goddess?"

"My princess, that is the only thing I can say to you." He stood up and she stood up with him too, almost shocked. "I shall come whenever you request, your highness, but not when it is regarding this issue." He paused, "Farewell, Princess."
