Cole had already informed the man who was in charge of the little witch's hanging and was a bit sad about the fact that the little girl would be cruelly killed. A less punishment could have been better but the little witch wouldn't give up. Would never give up killing the rest of the slaves and servants while she still told lies that she was innocent.

His gaze brushed to the other side of the wall as he thought deeply before staring at the little girl sleeping on the cold floor. Her long hair was coiled around her body and there was a stinky smell emitting from her. She refused to take a bath or a change of clothes as she kept questioning the need for it when she would end up dying.

"Why are you staring at me?" He heard the little witch ask, her voice was shaky and tired as she remained in the present position she was.

Cole quickly diverted his gaze towards the dark window instead, avoiding the little girl's gaze and pretending he wasn't staring, "How long have you been awake?" He asked, ignoring her question.

"As long as I knew you were staring," the little girl replied with a cute smile as she rose to sit on the cold and damp floor.

"It's time. You need to be treated well before your departure," he stated as formally as he could. He felt as though he couldn't say it directly or he might hurt her feelings, well they both knew she was going to die as early as the dawn.

The girl gave a childish prattle before she cleared her throat, "Ask his lordship, ask the Lady Maxwell, they both have agreed that I would not be hung anymore."

"How would you know? Elvis had said you shall be hung when the cock crows and...and it's almost..."

"I heard their discussion last night," she cut him short then stared directly into his eyes, "if you think I am making some pranks, do ask them now. Lock me in the dungeon and do ask, I would not escape if you do that."

Cole furrowed his eyebrows as he stared down at her, trying to assimilate all whatever she was thinking and if she was speaking the truth, "I stayed in this dungeon with you, if you are planning something else, know that I would never be glad about it," he stated assuredly.

The little witch stood up and walked towards the window, "I did not tell you to stay here with me, you offered yourself thinking I will escape if I was out of your sight, Cole," she glared at him and walked away from the window, "If you doubt I shall show you his lordship's conversation with Lady Maxwell, Elvis was among to."

Before Cole could say anything, loud footsteps were approaching them, he also stood up to know who was coming.

Two huge guards with heavy swords with them came into view. One was completely bald while the other was half-bald as his skin was only visible from his forehead across the middle and to the back of his head giving out an old man appearance.

"We are ordered to take the young witch," the one with the completely bald hair confirmed. He was a bit taller than the other but they were both taller than Cole which made him feel intimidated.

Cole was someone ordinary compared to the guards and everyone in the castle, he was completely uniquely different. "His lordship ordered to slither the witch's head," the half-bald explained, "So we are ordered here to do so."

Cole and the little witch exchanged looks before the little witch decided to speak, "Seek unto his lordship and ask him, his little mistress has adopted me, hear well before you speak things from the hell, you bald men."

Cole was surprised though he didn't want to feel intimidated anymore especially when the little witch had stood up for herself. "Guards, listen up. Whatever the both of you are discussing, you should heed unto caution because I can see you both have ulterior moves which would be against his lordship's orders."

"If you do not want to accept our demands, then we would forcibly take her," the bald man said as the two guards place their swords in their other hands which generated a striking sound on the floor of the dungeon. Light sparkles were seen but they were not for dramatic effect. The guards looked fierce and they wanted to take the little witch by all means.

Now that they were like this, Cole knew that they were not the guards from the castle or they were not even from Venesia, they might have successfully come into the castle through devilish means. "She is not going with you."

"Is she not?" The half-bald man smirked as he held out his swords towards Cole, trying to stab him smoothly without him noticing but Cole was too quick as he dodged the attack.

The little witch already knew where the two guards were from. If what she saw was right, they were from Zuddata, the man who might require a witch for some selfish reasons. The little witch had heard about him from her witch friends who were hung immediately they were discovered to have evil abilities.

Though his lordship was cruel and strict, she knew Zuddata was someone one could not even describe. "Do not cause a fight here, I shall come to you myself to see Zuddata."

The guards glared at Cole before fixing their gaze on her, "Three days, our Lord hopes to see you within three days," the bald man cautioned and she nodded her head in confirmation.

They walked out slowly and vanished when they have gotten to the entrance, seeing this Cole shook in terror, "What was that?! They are wizards? Who is Zuddata?"

"Someone you don't wish to know. Quit asking me heaven-forsaken questions and hurry up to see Elvis if what I was saying is right. I might starve here."

Cole nodded and they both walked out of the dungeon. It was a bit clearer and the candlelights were put off or were dead. "How...what did she see in you that would want her to adopt you?" He questioned doubtfully.

"What everyone does not see in me. Unfortunately, she would have to go through hell before she is finally able to adopt me. She is kind but I see in her what others might not. Something dangerous but is hidden within her."

"Something dangerous?"

"Something Zuddata would love to own."
