"My princess, this missive is for you." Amber forwarded Isadora a small envelope and she took it from her without hesitation.

She had thought it was from Oswald but the exact moment her eyes landed on the letter she knew exactly who it was. Sarah. Why would Sarah write a missive to her? What was so important that she had to discuss with her? Isadora recalled that she had told Sarah that she would send a missive to her very soon, why was it vice versa instead? Did anything happen to Isaac?

March 2, 1858

My dearest Princess,

It's been too many hours without you, I hope this meets you in good hands.

Lord Oswald had previously been declared missing as you are aware but now, there is some news that he was killed in his home and thrown into the river.

There was a trace from his house to that river we four used to play in, but Prince Isaac blames the king saying that he sent his men to murder him to avoid any elopement because he is aware of your closeness with Lord Oswald. While this does not seem true, his Majesty has been punishing Prince Isaac for his words. But as my words to you, I do not let him starve at night, even during the day.

It's really sad. I hope your mind bears the pain and department. Stay safe with your husband and be a good wife. Stay strong.

~Sarah

She had no idea she had been tearing up until her maid asked, "Are you alright, princess?"

"Yes. You can go."

She stood up and walked to where a blue candle was placed in. Her hands squeezed the missive and straightened it back before holding it up to the fire.

Her eyes became tearier as the paper burnt into the ashes. When she was done, she dried the tears on her face and walked to her wardrobe. She was on her night dress and she needed to change into something else but when Oswald's face rang through her brain, she paused and grabbed the robe nearest to her and wore it on her night dress. She did not care anymore.

She was too outraged by the news that she did not know when she hurriedly opened the door, though it did not make any sound she doubted that Elvis would not already be aware of that. As a result, she trotted through the corridors. With the five days she had stayed in this castle, she already knew almost everywhere. His lordship did not limit her freedom but just as the hours grew, she found more than a pleasure to annoy him.

She did not know much about him but she knew he had a very cruel way of punishing someone if he or she trespass his orders or law. One thing he liked was poisoning the offender. Though she did not know when the pain disappeared three days ago, she knew that the pain was something worse than the pain a woman in labor goes through.

He was just too cruel, her initial punishment of serving the mistresses had been postponed to when she is fully healthy, but that did not mean he would not hesitate to prolong the days if need be.

But right now, the only thing in her mind was running away from the boring castle. She did not believe the news about Oswald. Oswald had promised to come and take her at the right time and at that right time was she willing to show what stuff she was made of, but if need be, she might show the little of which she is consisted of.

She had this feeling that Oswald was alive but he needed her. Right now and she was not there.

He was supposed to be in a town called Artheca where he had planned to form a big army and fight against his father then take her as a bride after. But what could have happened to him? Was it true that he was killed that night they had had something together? Was it true that her father had sent his men to kill him before she even exposed her relationship? And why would her father punish Isaac? Why did her father not even cherish her twin brother for once? Was it Isaac's fault that he was half-blind?

She had gotten to the first floor before she heard some guards walking her way.

Guards were very many on this floor than they were on the second floor. It would not be easy to put them all down just like she had done to the stupid guards on the second floor. It was even easy on the third floor as there was not even a single guard.

Her bare toes crept behind the large arcs that were previously rested on as she watched the two guards walk away.

No! She could have pulled them down too because they were going to stay at the entrance. All she needed to do was to walk to the stable. She did not care if it was dark but she knew where Artheca was situated and it would not take her more than ten hours. Just like what Oswald had told her. Oswald knew Venesia too and the man who ruled or was ruling it.

When she was sure that the two guards were out of the way, she looked at where they might be coming from as if to check if there were more guards on the way before she walked silently but fast to where the two guards had gone too.

Shocked, she saw that the entrance was not guarded. This morning, she had seen about ten guards hovering over the entrance. She had previously planned to escape but the news that she just received had quickened her mission.

Something must be wrong!

She walked slowly, ensuring that she did not walk in the middle of the corridor. She finally got to the entrance and her breath bounced back to normal as she saw two agile guards whispering to themselves.

She walked steadily, the two men were standing up and facing themselves but as soon as she got to them they immediately raised their heads towards her. "What are you doing at this hour, My lady?"

She did not talk, nor did she stop walking until she was very close to them. Her eyes were closed but her ears were fully open, then she heard the other guards say, "Is she sleepwalking?"

Yes, she was. At least that was what she wanted them to think.

She walked past them but they were very fast to hold her. As soon as their hands landed on her arms, she squeezed their arms together and immediately hit both of their heads together. Not giving them a chance to breathe, she took the two daggers from her side and stabbed the both of them in their heart. She knew where the organs were but she could not think she could successfully stab someone in his kidney, the heart own was sure.

She saw their eyes flickered open in shock but she did not allow a second to pass by when she forcefully moved out the dagger. "Your lord caused you this misfortune," she blurted as she rubbed the blood on their bodies. They all behaved the same way. They all stood still and look as if they had never seen a woman so fierce before. Though they did not make a noise Isadora did not care why.

She wanted to see Oswald!
