No way! She wouldn't let that stop her from going to Artheca. She could not let all that killings go to waste.

When she saw that the man who she just stabbed was still staring at her quizzically, she seemed dazed. She saw as brown blood tipped slowly from the big cut she had let on his chest but still, she felt it wasn't enough, and should she need to escape, she should completely kill the leader, and she was this close.

Though the pain in her abdomen was increasing every second, she ignored it, her hand worked its way to the dagger to remove it and stab him again but the moment she touched the dagger she was pushed back with a heavy force. Still not relenting, she stood up with a grunt and hobbled to where she was standing before.

On seeing what was happening her blood temperature rose to a hundred Celcius. The man she had stabbed was no longer at her front but he was replaced with about a hundred of the castle's guards. She did not understand how and why it just happened.

Her eyes shifted to Elvis when she heard him say, "Stop whatever you are doing now!"

Interesting.

She started calculating how many minutes she could use to kill them all. No, it was not possible. They were too many. They were trained. Could she even kill one? The only reason she had killed the previous guards was that they were not aware of her ambition and they did not strike back. Now that these were aware and they could crack her down in a second she became more than frightened.

As her eyes looked at one soldier and the other, those eyes stared back at her. It was like it was a staring competition and the first one to cut their gaze off will lose the battle. She was not ready. Not when the horse that she would run away with was just some inches behind her. But knowing these people, they will run after her. How could she even run when she was poisoned?

She could barely even stand but all these weren't excuses when it comes to Oswald. Oswald had helped her a lot. Times when some barbarians came from nowhere to attack their carriages, he was the one who came to their rescue as if he had already been there.

When it was time to help him, she could not be so scared to do so. Artheca was the only place he could go to but still, those that dwelled in Artheca were enemies to those that dwelled in the Maxwell Kingdom. Since the day King Griffin started up a ruthless war in Artheca, their town had not remained the same. It would be a lie if one or two or even more of the denizens of Artheca would not be against Oswald. Especially when they realise he is a noble's man son from the Maxwell Kingdom.

She saw each guard holding a sword except for Elvis. She gritted her teeth. Where had that bloody cold man vanished to? Could he have died?

Truth be told, she found it unbelievable to watch Elvis stand against her. For the last three days, Elvis had only been the one she talked to. Though he was cold, and rude like his lord, he still had a soft spot.

But no. She couldn't look at Elvis anymore, or else she would be forced to relent. On glancing at the swords with them, she walked briefly to the guard nearest to her and held him with her right hand. All these actions were done within a blink of an eye. Her right hand was fixed on his low shoulder and her other hand very close to the guard's neck holding the dagger she once had thrown away. "Any step further and you would see how his head would roll off."

She could tell that the guard she was holding was frightened, but she believed she was more than frightened. How could she escape these people? What would they finally do if they catch up with her? They would surely do the unthinkable.

"Isadora, do not overwork yourself."

"Let me." Her voice was thick, very thick like a man's own and it was shaky. She swallowed her saliva and widened her eyes, "Should any of you come closer, you see this young man?" She glared at the guard whose back was resting on hers, "is gone."

When she said that, everyone remained quiet. The guards were instinctively looking at Elvis and then at her. As if to decide what to choose.

Her legs made their way to the back, trying to reach the white horse that was now too close but those guards stupidly come forward. "Why can't you let me go?! I have killed many of your guards and killed your master, what is it again you want me to prove to you that I don't want to be here!"

The more the guards were coming nearer, the more her dagger was very close to her captive neck.

"Every guard is less important than you, so killing him won't do both of us bad," Elvis said, dryly.

She smiled, her hand still holding the captive but she loosened the dagger so that the edge of the dagger was pointing at her neck and the guard's neck, "I would rather die than be here." She was doing all these to watch their reactions. She couldn't kill herself. That was capital no. Seeing that their reaction was not what she was expecting, she continued what she had previously thought of.

Elvis looked at the guards beside him and before he could face her again, Isadora had already thrown the guard to them and leapt on the horse. She could not delay any further.

As soon as she climbed on the horse, she saw the guards scatter and before she knew it, the horse was not moving anymore.

The guards had surrounded her. She was even shocked to see that among the guards were archers who had thrown arrows at the horse's body. She had not heard the horse whine before it stopped. She began to feel dizzy. The wound on her neck was still there.

"Isadora. Surrender yourself, now."

"Over my dead body!" She spat. She had already climbed down from the horse and taken a bow and an arrow from a nearby guard which she was already pointing at Elvis.

She was shocked by all her moves. She wasn't as trained as this but her body moved on her own. This only meant Oswald truly needed her. "Or tell your guards to surrender themselves now, or I hit you with this." She smiled dryly, "Do you know what is called Gaev? It's a small technique used to invoke poisons on arrows, so trust me when I say it's going to do more harm than you think."
