"I want to see if I could legally marry a woman I'm in love with, until then, I'll let you know we're officially engaged," Cat Noir said, hanging up the call with the mayor.

Marinette woke up on a mattress, she thought she was tied up or gagged; instead she was still sleepy but got up anyway. She saw Cat Noir standing by the door, smirking again.

"Marinette, please stay in bed. I know you are still sleepy," Cat Noir said, trying not to make her argue with him.

Marinette knew Cat Noir longer than she remembered, as Ladybug and as her civilian form. Cat Noir knew her well in both sides of her, as his old partner and as an old friend of hers.

"I want to hang out with Nino, Chat. Is there anything wrong with me talking to him or are you just jealous?" Marinette said, about to cry but he sighed in defeat and let her go to see Nino.

"Fine, Just come back when you're done talking to him cause I'm about to introduce you to our prisoner, Luka Coffaine," Cat Noir smugly said, trying to change the subject.

"What do you mean by prisoner Chat?" Marinette said, immediately regretting calling him Chat because he noticed that as soon as she said that.

"Is Chat or Kitty an endearing nickname for me, princess? Cause I love it," Cat Noir asked, cheekily smirking before hitting her butt cheek.

"You pervert!" Marinette slapped him across his face in embarrassment.

"I'm your purr-vert," Cat Noir said, hugging her tightly against his chest, but she wasn't facing him.

"Are you stalking me? Cause I have a feeling you are staring to creep me out," Marinette said, she tried not to look behind her as her heart rate was increasing.

"I could be, but no," Cat Noir joked, Marinette felt calm but was skeptical.

"Okay? I'll believe that for now," Marinette sighed.

"Bugaboo, I have something planned for us," Cat Noir smiled, leading her out to an empty room with decorations, tables and chairs.

"Is this some proposal you're planning?" Marinette asked, Cat Noir tensed up when she asked him that question.

"Not really, just wanted to take out on a date. Besides, I wouldn't dare hurt, abuse or rape you, if you do or don't like it. Cat's honor!" Cat Noir reassured her before sitting her down near a random table.

"Ok I'm trusting you enough for now until further notice," Marinette huffed, placing her hands on her waist.

"Waiter, once you're finished serving us, please leave us alone for the night," Cat Noir said, winking at the waiter, who understood immediately.

"What are you planning this time? You said you wouldn't do anything to hurt me, correct?" Marinette asked, folding her arms before leaning on her chair.

"I'm not going to do anything dumb, just wanted to show you something beautiful about this place, then we can hangout with Kim, who you already know by now," Cat Noir explains, standing up to push her chair to the table before sitting back down.

The water soon arrived with their entrees and other dishes, Marinette was surprised at Cat Noir for ordering for her.

"How did you know that this is my favorite foods? Look, I know we know each other but- how did you know I like this dish?" Marinette asked, pointing at the dishes the waiter out out before setting up the desserts.

"We've known each other before so I know what you like," Cat Noir said, smiling at her with a very lovesick grin.

"Sure, what do you know about me, besides being Ladybug?" Marinette whispered, trying not to yell.

"For one, I know you love Jagged Stone, you like sewing and designing as a hobby and for expressing your interest or feelings," Cat Noir said, pulling her chair near his.

The waiter left the room to leave the two lovers alone. Cat Noir caught her off guard by licking her cheek, making her squirm and blush.

"What was that for?" Marinette asked, wiping her cheek with a napkin.

"There was some crumbs on your face," Cat Noir blushed, smirking at her before watching her grab a napkin, he couldn't admire her more than he ever did since they've met.

"And licking my face was a way to get it off?" Marinette asked, Cat Noir was staring into space in a trance.

"Ouch!" Cat Noir yelped, rubbing his face where she pinched him.

"Please stop dazing off, Chat. You were making me uncomfortable at first but now I don't know anymore," Marinette said, placing her face in her hands in embarrassment.

Cat Noir lifted her chin up to face him, he looked at her with sympathy and clarity. Marinette stopped crying, he began to speak and she listened.

"You aren't the one unsure about themselves. If so, so am I. You're a leader, not a quitter. You're a positive impact on your friends, not a pushover. I have been in love with you since we met, before we had our miraculous. I just didn't know until I figured it out, M'lady. So I'll ask this again, will you be my girlfriend?" Cat Noir asked, standing on one knee while holding both of her hands.

"I'll think about it, Chat. For now, this is not a rejection, think of it as consideration for your feelings," Marinette hesitated, petting the top of his head as Cat Noir purred onto her lap before sitting back in his chair.

Cat Noir and Marinette peacefully eat their breakfast, once they finished, Marinette got ready to hangout with Nino and Kim. Nino called in sick, Kim was only available and Cat Noir was watching Kim like a hawk till their hangout was over.

"Bye Kim! See you soon," Marinette said, waving goodbye while Cat Noir carried her on his back to his office.

"Princess, please tell me... Do you like Kim?" Cat Noir asked, sitting Marinette down on his desk chair.

"No? Why would you think that? Are you jealous or are you worried if I marry or date him?" Marinette jokes, shaking her head before she teased him.

"No! I was just wondering about something," Cat Noir lied, Marinette knew he was hiding he was truly jealous but kept it to herself.

Cat Noir laid around in his office, Marinette was fast asleep on the couch near his desk, wearing his jacket. Luka walked in wearing a blue face mask to hide his face from Marinette's view.

"I hate to interrupt your cat nap but you have a meeting to attend this week, I only came just to remind you," Luka said, closing the door behind him.

Cat Noir worked on end to finish working on his database of his gang and Marinette and he instantly fell asleep afterwards while he cuddled up with Marinette.

A while later, Marinette was still asleep when Cat Noir laid on top of her with a blanket covering them both. Kim and Nino came walking inside to laugh before waking the "lovebirds" up.

"HEY LOVEBIRDS!!" Kim shouted, jumping on Cat Noir's desk.

"Wake up, we have some news for you," Nino calmly said, pulling Kim off his desk.

"Huh?" Marinette and Cat Noir said in sync, still looking sleepy.

"What did you want to tell us?" Cat Noir yawned, walking to his desk to sit down.

"Well we heard rumors that Lila, your old friend before you cut ties with her, is trying to hurt your girlfriend and Luka's sister," Kim answered, averting his eyes on Max who was around the corner.

"Pay attention Kim, now's not the time to sink your eyes on your bookworm," Nino said, snapping Kim's attention back to the conversation.
