Idea:

After a Power Armor (Luckily its user was able to get out right on time) from the Fallout Universe was teleported during a skirmish in Commander John's Universe, there was a fight to get ahold of that armor. The Galactic Republic won the fight and take the armor to reverse-engineered this high tech armor. Soon they were able to create the first power suit. It was created using a special crtysal that the Jedi used in their lightsabers despite the Jedi's protests.

Soon the power armor was ready in 20 BBY and would see their first use during the Battle of Umbara. Most of these units were under the 501st, Wolfpack, 21st Nova Corp, and other clone units with the 212th having few of these.

They specialized in heavy weapons that can't be carry by hand and used to storm heavy fortified enemy positions. Some are rumored to be made out of lightsaber resistance materials.
