season 1, episode 10 - Happily Ever After (pt. 1)

chapter fifteen,

here comes the bride!

THE NEXT DAY, it was Will and Haley's wedding and Jackie was scrambling to make it perfect. Lee and Issac weren't really helping, flinging sprinkles at each other. "Could you guys please help me with the cupcakes? I can't just put the frosting by myself." Kia stated, causing Issac to roll his eyes. "Fine, we'll help. Also because you said please."

About two hours later, the cupcakes were frosted and ready to be eaten. Issac tried taking one, only for his hand to be smacked by Kia. "Ow! What was that for?"

"These are for the guests. You can't just eat them whenever you want."

"Could I have one? Just one? Please?" Issac pouted, causing Kia to sigh. "Fine. Your lucky Jackie isn't here right now. Otherwise, she'd kill me."

"What would I do without you, Peters?"

"You'd probably get no cupcakes."

"You're not funny."

"I think I am, actually."

"Kia? You're back!" Parker exclaimed, running up to Kia and giving her a hug. "Parker! Hi!"  As the two of them talked, Issac couldn't help but smile.  He found it sweet that Parker had grew fond of Kia.  Sure, the two of them didn't see eye to eye at times but she would still try to be nice to him every once in a while.

Meanwhile, Jackie and Brady were in the garden, picking some flowers for the table displays.  "I'm just hoping this wedding goes well.  Everything needs to be perfect." Jackie stated as she picked some lavender.  "Relax, Jackie.  I'm sure everything will be fine.  Okay?"

"I guess you're right.  Thank you for helping me out by the way."

"No problem, Jackie."

THE WEDDING WAS FINALLY all set as the guests made their way to their seats.  Alex and Danica were sitting next to each other, talking. 

"Hi, boys." Jackie stated as she walked up to where the rest of the Walter's were standing. "You look great, New York." Brady stated. "Thanks, Texas. You don't look too bad yourself."

"Do you want to sit together?"

"Sure. Catch you guys later." As Brady and Jackie walked to the chairs, Lee and Samira followed suit. "So are you excited to see you know who?" Nathan asked Issac. "Who are you talking about?"

"Issac, you know exactly who I'm referring to. I bet you're going to start blushing when she arrives."

"I am not."

"Hey, Garcia." Issac turned his head around, noticing Kia. "Peters, hey. You look nice." he stated as his cheeks started to flush a bit. "Thank you. You don't look bad yourself."

"Are you saying that I look handsome?"

"And are you saying that I look pretty?"

"I asked you first."

"Fine, you look handsome."

"Thanks. You look pretty."

"I know. Thanks though." The two decided to sit with Lee and Samira who were in their own world. Soon enough, the priest started to speak. Haley walked down the aisle, Will and her said their vows, and were officially married.

Kia had just shared a plate of food, sitting with Lee, Samira, Paige, Liam, and Issac. As she ate her food, she couldn't help but laugh. "Okay but what is up with the suspenders? Who made you wear them?" she asked, causing Issac to roll his eyes. "Hey! They don't even look that bad. Plus, our aunt wanted us to wear them."

"I have to thank her for that. You guys look kind of silly in them." As they continued eating, Cole gave a speech about Will. He mentioned his past and how despite facing hardships, he still helps the family. Kia thought it was very sweet of Cole and didn't really expect him to be like that.

Night quickly fell as the guests started to slow dance. Kia was sitting down, watching from afar. "Do you want to dance?" She looked up, relieved it was Issac. "Sure, Garcia." He led her to the floor, wrapping his arms around her waist. Kia wrapped her arms around his neck as they slowly swayed to the music.

Jackie was still at her table, smiling at all the guests dancing. "Care for this dance?" Brady asked her.

"Yes." The two slowly waltzed on the floor, smiling at one another. "Hi." Brady stated.

"Hi?" The two laughed, smiling once more. "You looked amazing tonight."

"Really? You think I look amazing?"

"Of course! You're a beautiful girl. How could I not?"
Jackie felt butterflies in her stomach, her cheeks feeling warm. "Well, you looked handsome tonight. I have to ask, though. How are you not dating anyone?"

"I guess I haven't met the right person yet."

"I'm sure you will someday."

"Hopefully." The two quickly noticed Kia and Issac dancing together, smiling. "You know what I think?" Brady asked as he spun her around.

"What are you thinking about?"

"I think Issac has a little crush on Kia."

"I think you mean a big crush on her. He's really obvious to everyone but her."

"So you've noticed it too? I'm just waiting for Kia to like him back so they can get together. I'm kind of waiting for their enemies to lovers story to happen."

"Me too. But we can only hope for now."

Maybe one day, Issac would finally tell Kia how he really felt. But all he could really do in the moment was pretend to hate her.
