The next day, Marinette's phone buzzes and she looks at it with a scowl.  She thinks great now she calls me in for an interview.  She believes it stinks she has to get a job just because her sister, Tikki plans to move in with her soon.  It is not her fault her father went off the deep end and left town.  Nor it is her fault her mother died.

"Yes, I will be right there," Marinette says into the phone.

"Good, see you in a few," Aurore responds.

Aurore smiles as she hangs up. She wonders what sort of person, Marinette is to take in her sister and strive hard to find a job to support both of them.

A few minutes later, Marinette arrives at the job interview.

"Sorry, I am so behind today," Marinette apologizes.

"It is fine, now take a seat," Aurore says.

Marinette pulls a chair up to the desk as she twirls her hair. She is clueless as to how these things go.  Too bad her, father dearest could not have stuck around long enough to watch her sister in the first place.

"Just between us both, I did not want to be the guardian to my sister," Marinette blurts out.

"Oh, so you admit you are a heartless person,"  Aurore states as she jots something down in her notebook.

"Goodness no, I mean sure I usually a loner, but that does mean I do not do charitable things,"  Marinette says.

"I make sure to tip the pizza guy, and I uh once helped an elderly woman cross the street.  I organized a drive for orphans so they could have the best services needed," Marinette goes on to explain.

"Yet, you want to throw your sister to the wayside, is that it?" Aurore asks with a frown. This is not quite how she visualized the interview.

"No, it is just she is a teenager," Marinette states.

"What is your point?" Aurore asks.

"My point Miss Aurore Burellias is that I am hardly qualified to watch a teen girl, they have hormones that go off the scale from one to ten in minutes, and besides she probably will not like me anyway," Marinette retorts.

"Miss Dupain-Cheng, might I remind you that you desperately need a job rather you seek one or not?"  Aurore says as she adjusts the glasses she wears so that they no longer touch the tip of her nose.

"Yes, well that is your job to decide rather to hire me or not," Marinette blurts out.  The moment the statement leaves her mouth she is pointed to the door.

"Do not let the door hit you on the way out, and I pity your sister with the depths of my soul,"  Aurore responds.

Marinette walks off in a huff with her face down. She can not believe she let her temper get the better of her in there.  Great now she blew it she has no job.  What is she to do?

As much as she can not stand her sister, she is her flesh and blood, so she is not about to stand by idly while someone else takes her from her.  Marinette runs back home.  Her car repossessed since she fell behind on the payments for it.

Marinette is about to walk up the path that leads to her door when she bumps into something.  She looks up to see that it is not a telephone pole like she thought, but a person.

"Bluebell beauty?" The voice asks in surprise.

"Oh, Adrien, sorry I did not see you there. It is just I have a rough day.  First, I lost my car since I  could not pay for it anymore, then I blew the whole job interview thing.  Now, my sister will be here any day, and I am nothing but a mess!" Marinette blurts out.

"Haha, no sweat, bluebell beauty," Adrien says.

Marinette blushes, but mutters, "Adrien, what are you up to pizza boy?"

"I heard that girlie," Adrien scoffs.

"Oh, and the name is Marinette," She retorts.

"Marinette, hmm, it suits you I suppose," Adrien responds.

Marinette stands there with her hands on her hips and a scowl on her face.  This leads Adrien to laugh once again at the stern look she gives him.  He thinks what is with her tough act?  He does not think she is fooling anyone.

"Anyway, see you, have pizzas to deliver," Adrien says as he walks away.

"Yeah, see you, Adrien the pizza guy,"  Marinette mocks him.  She walks inside, slams the door, and walks to her kitchen. She groans as it dawns on her the place is a complete wreck.

Marinette gets to work cleaning up the mess as Adrien does his job outside delivering pizzas.

The deep green jeep pulls up and drops off a teen girl who gives the place a once over. Tikki is has a purse, a duffel bag, a backpack, and two suitcases with her. She rolls her eyes as she rings the doorbell.

Meanwhile, Adrien's brother Plagg and sister Andrea are having a pillow fight.  So, far neither one is winning. They are just having a fun sibling moment.

Tikki impatiently rings the bell none stop.  Marinette finally swings it open so that the other girl barges in with her things and sneers at her.

"Sis, your place is so such a sight for sore eyes," Tikki remarks.

       "Not now, Tikki," Marinette states.

Tikki rolls her eyes as she takes a look around her.  "Where do I sleep?" Tikki asks.

"Down the hall, and two doors to the right is yours," Marinette says.

Tikki enters the room sees the red walls with black spots on them. She thinks seriously, what am I five?  She rolls her eyes at once. She thinks this place could use a serious decorating job.  She unpacks her things, then changes her outfit.

She re-enters the kitchen and without a word dries the dishes after Marinette washes them.   Tikki grins as Marinette takes a straw and blows dish soap at her.  She thinks good underneath that tough exterior is the same sweet, older sister I remember.
