The next day, Marinette prepares for work. She arrives on time, but wonders why Adrien was so upset the previous day. She gets right to her job at the cash register.  As she takes a few orders she makes sure to smile at the customers.  It could not hurt since it would be bad for business not too.  Besides, she is happy because she has a date tonight.

           "Good to see you working so hard on your first day, Marinette,"  The manager tells her.

          "Yes, well I figure there is no sense in doing sloppy work,"  She remarks.

                 Marinette continues to work hard. She gets a short break for lunch.  She is glad Tikki was set on meeting Andrea.  This way the two girls can have fun while she is away.  She enjoys lunch with the thought that everything is so much better for her lately. 

              She gets back to work once her lunch break ends. She is more than happy to come in tomorrow around 2 pm since the schedule works out so well.  It will also give her more time to spend with Adrien.  She shakes her head as she realizes she is getting way ahead of herself.

               Later, after work, Marinette walks home. She unlocks the door, showers, changes her clothes and styles her hair. She smiles as she waits for Adrien to pick her up for their date.

               Adrien rings the doorbell at 7 pm with still no ideas on how to tell her.  He sees her open the door in a cute knee-length skirt, a tank top, and some sandals.  He notices she did her hair differently too.   

               "Hi, Marinette," Adrien says.

                 "Hi, Adrien," Marinette responds.

                     Adrien and Marinette go to the restaurant with Marinette noticing Adrien looks a bit down.  Marinette thinks strange he should be happy cause we are on our date.

                   "Adrien is anything wrong?" Marinette asks.

                  "Why should anything be wrong?"  Adrien asks.

                "It is just that you seem sad,"  Marinette says. She places a hand on his cheek.

                   "I will tell you later," Adrien responds.  He takes a seat and Marinette sits across from him.

                      Marinette glances over the menu, but soon decides what she would like to eat. Adrien looks over it and does not notice when the waiter comes by the table.

                       "I will take the chicken with the noodles, and mushrooms," Marinette says.

                        "Okay, and for your friend here?" The waiter asks.

                        "Adrien,  what  would you like to eat?" Marinette asks.

                         "I will take the steamed rice and the chicken with sweet peas and carrots," Adrien tells the waiter.

                       "Excellent choices, what about the drinks?"  He asks.

                        "Coconut milk sounds good," Marinette answers.

                          "Water," Adrien says.

                          "Very well, the food should be ready in about twenty-five minutes," The waiter responds.

                          The waiter, Tim leaves the table, and returns a few minutes later with the water and the coconut milk.  "Here, enjoy the drinks, and the free appetizer," Tim states. He walks off once more.

                       Marinette eats one of the complimentary spring rolls. She thinks wow, not bad.  

                   "Adrien,  you should try the spring rolls they are great,"  Marinette tells him.

                    "You are great," Adrien says with a sigh.

                        "What was that Adrien?" Marinette asks.

                              "N-nothing," Adrien mutters.  He eats a spring roll.

                  After the rest of the food arrives, Marinette remarks, "This place is nice.  Thanks for inviting me here for our first date."
                   

              "Yeah, the first date," Adrien replies sadly.

                     Marinette reaches over and places a hand over his. She says the blessing, then removes her hand. She laughs at Adrien's sad attempt to use the chopsticks.

                     "Look, you do not have to try so hard to impress me,"  Marinette states.

                      "Impress you, the thought never crossed my mind," Adrien retorts.

                     "Could have fooled me, pizza boy," Marinette says.

                        Adrien frowns once more, then Marinette thinks great now I gone and upset him again.  

                   Later after the meal is over and paid for Adrienette leaves, they go for a walk.  Adrien sees they are at his special spot. He hates to ruin everything now especially when she grins at him.  He wishes he did not have to do this.

                    "Marinette, I want you to know, I wish you blessings at your job," Adrien says sadly.

                        Marinette places a hand on his cheek once more. She stares into his eyes and kisses him.  

                    Adrien kisses her, then pulls away.  "Mari, I am sorry,"  He says.

                     "Sorry, for what?  You made our date special,"  Marinette points out.

                      "It is just that I can not be with you anymore," He blurts out.

                        "What?"  Marinette asks. She sees he looks serious, but can not understand.

                         "I  can not let you give up everything for me," Adrien says sadly.

                        "Huh, Adrien, we just got together and you are going to throw it all way," Marinette responds sadly.

                       "I -I am sorry, Mari, it is just my boss says no one can mix work and business. It means I can not date you because we are both pizza palace employees,"  Adrien explains.

                        Adrien climbs up into a tree nearby so she can not see him cry.  He can not expect her to quit her job just because he wishes to be with her.  He does not look down when she calls out to him.

                        "Adrien, no,"  Marinette calls out.

                            Marinette runs off in tears. She does not stop until she is outside the pizza place. She rushes through the door and talks to the manager.

                             "Oh, you wish to quit your job," He says.

                              "Yes, " She says.

                          "Why?"  He asks in confusion.

                          "It is just I can not break up with my boyfriend.  See, I date Adrien and well you have a policy against this,"  Marinette explains.

                          "I see, then may I say, I am sorry to see you go.  I understand though," The manager remarks.

                          Marinette runs out the door,  rushes back to the area where she last saw Adrien, but he is not there.  She has no idea where he could be anyway. She goes to the park and sees him by the fountain.

                      "Adrien, there you are I have been looking all over for you," She says.  

                     "You have?" Adrien asks.

                      "Yes, and I want to say, I have requests for clothes, and there is one less employee at the pizza palace,"  Marinette tells him.

                     "You did not..."  Adrien begins.

                     "I had to do something.  I could not give up the one I love for a silly job," Marinette confesses.

                   "L-Love, but I th-thought you," Adrien says.

                   "Shh," Marinette says. She pulls him closer and kisses him.

             Two months later, Marinette is successful at the sewing business while Adrien is still a pizza delivery boy.  Adrien knows they have been together for a short while, but he can not wait to see her again.

                   "Hi, Mari," Adrien says.

                   "Hi, Adrien," Marinette says.

                       Adrien and Marinette are happy to go out once again. Andrea, and Tikki smile.  

           "Do worry about a thing, us girls can take care of Plagg.  You just enjoy yourselves, you here," Andrea says.

              "I second that statement," Tikki says.

                "Have fun," Plagg says.

                     Adrien asks her to marry him.  He thinks she will probably turn him down. Turns out he is way wrong.   "Yes, I will!" Marinette says.

                 Adrien kisses her and the two are so happy to be engaged at last.

                        Time skip to two years later...

                        "Marinette you made such a beautiful bride," Andrea says.

                         "Welcome to the family," Plagg says.

                      "Yes, now I have a cool sister-in-law, and two cool brothers-in-law,"  Tikki says.

                        "Oh, yeah, well, I have a cool wife, brother, sister, and sister-in-law now," Adrien says.

                        "I have a cool husband, sister-in-law, brother-law, and sister," Marinette remarks.

                              Everyone laughs.  The newlyweds share their first dance together. Afterwards, they cut the cake. As Adrien hands Marinette a slice of cake, she smiles up at him. She thinks wow so this is what is it is like to still be in love and together after all this time.

                Marinette thinks back to the days she was a loner. She decides those days were so dull. She would not trade her life right now for anything.  She is way happier now than she has been in years.  She has the love of a man named Adrien, and so much more.

                Later, while Adrienette is on their way to their honeymoon in Spain, Tikki, Andrea and Plagg head home.  Since Marinette's place was small, she decided it was better to move out.  So when they get back, she and Tikki will live at Adrien's place.  This way the whole family can be under one roof together.

               Tikki and Andrea look at each other than at Plagg. 

 "So, what do you say, Plagg?" Tikki asks.

   "Pizza Anyone?"  Plagg asks.

      Andrea laughs, shrugs her shoulders, then says, "Sure, works for me!"  She calls the pizza place and orders the amount of pizza she knows they need for her, Plagg and her new sister-in-law, Tikki.

        As they wait for the food to arrive, Tikki pipes up, "I hope a cute guy brings the food."

          "Tikki, not in front of Plagg,"  Andrea blurts out.

         "Cute, blah," Plagg says.

             Tikki giggles at Plagg's reaction. She thinks this will take some getting used to have other siblings around. Somehow she thinks it will not take long as she is best friends with Andrea.  Besides, she has helped babysit Plagg already so this is nice.

            The doorbell rings twenty minutes later, and Tikki answers it. 

 "Whoa, you are hot!" Tikki blurts out.

 "I beg your pardon," The boy asks.

   "Tikki, honestly, let the poor guy give us the food will ya," Andrea remarks.

         Andrea gets the box from the poor traumatized boy.  

   " I must apologize to my new sister, as my brother just got married today.  It is a long story, and Tikki here is my new sister-in-law, so yeah," Andrea says.

     "So pretty," The boys says to Andrea.

      Andrea thinks oh dear, here we go again.  She turns to Tikki and says,  "He is all yours."

             Meanwhile, Adrien and Marinette make it safe to the hotel. They are happy to have some alone time at last. They uh, well you know, what married couples usually do.
