A/N: This parts short, but the next one's long so I broke it up a bit, hope you like :)

Kirstie woke up to sunlight streaming through the curtains she hadn't shut the night before. It took a moment before a thought crossed her mind, a smile appeared on her face and she rolled over. No one was there. She sat up, where'd he go? She was filled with confusion as she looked around the room. The bathroom door was shut, she jumped out of bed, running to it and knocking, "Avi?"
     No reply.
     She tried again, "Avi?"
Still nothing, she opened the door, empty.
Last night was amazing, why would he leave? She just didn't understand. There wasn't a note or anything, she checked her phone and still nothing, that hurt. So she got dressed, they were going for that walk, she'd get an explanation then.

After getting ready Kirstie went to collect Taylor, she wasn't in her room. She sent a quick message after realising they'd never actually invited Taylor and went to Jess' room instead. Jess also wasn't in her room and the message from Taylor came through.
'I'm already in the conference room booooo!'
And a message from Will, 'Sorry, Jess and I chickened out, ran into the boss during the escape ☹'
Then the message from Jess, 'I think the boss is getting suss! Come to the meeting!!!'
She knew she should go to the meeting, but this walk was important too, probably more important to her than a job she never wanted in the first place. She always told people she liked her job, but the truth was that she liked the people she worked with, not the work itself.
She ignored her friends messages and went on the walk, the worst thing that could happen was to get fired.

Kirstie got to the start of the trail, they were meeting there, and she was the last to arrive, she wasn't surprised.
Mitch looked over it already, Scott and Matt were animatedly chatting, gesturing up the path and Mark looked like he was half listening to them, half on his phone. Kevin and Leigh were talking to Avi, Avi who looked at Kirstie, realised it was her and looked away. Kirstie felt her stomach drop, what had happened? Had she done something wrong? Before she could approach Avi, Mitch was beside her, his arm linked through hers.
     "What's wrong?" He asked.
     "N-othing," Kirstie spoke bitterly.
"That's a lie, but I'll let it slide for now. Where are you friends?"
     "Not coming."
Mitch pursed his lips, "M'kay." He hesitated, "Is that why you're upset?"
"I don't really want to talk about it Mitch," she crossed her arms.
Mitch sighed, "Alright," he gently squeezed her shoulder. "Everyone's here Scotty!"
Scott scanned over the group, "Are your friends not coming Kirstie?"
"We're not talking about it!" Mitch spoke fiercely before Kirstie could say anything.
Everyone turned to Mitch with surprise, even Kirstie, now everyone was probably going to individually ask her at some point if she was okay. And she was fine, albeit confused by Avi's actions, but fine, and she'll get to the bottom of it.

A/N: So, what do you guys think is going on with Avi? And how is Kirstie gonna get to the bottom of it?

I hope you enjoyed, please vote and comment, it makes my day and I should have another chapter for you guys soon :)
