A/N: Sorry this one is a little late, I have the next week off work, so this shouldn't happen again, because I plan on typing up the rest of this story :D

"Did your dad agree to go into a home?" Kirstie asked as soon as it was just her and Avi alone, the second it was safe to do so.
Avi nodded slowly, "Yeah he did, he actually suggested it before I did, made the whole thing so much easier for me."
Kirstie let out a sigh of relief.
"Why are you so relieved?" Avi asked with a hint of a smile.
"I just wasn't sure after the convo I had with him, although I maybe wasn't totally 100 per cent paying attention," she smiled back sheepishly.
     "Ahh," he chuckled, "I see."
She leant against his shoulder, and it seemed almost instinctive when he wrapped that arm around her, it was comforting. "What are we gonna do Avi?" She asked quietly.
     "About what?"
     "I live in Texas, and-"
     "I don't."
"Yeah. My mom and best friends live in Texas, and I'm gonna need them. And you can't leave California-"
"Why not?" Avi turned to her, forcing her to sit up straight, his arms still around her.
     "Your dad."
"What's the difference between assisted living here or in Texas?"
     "Your sister?"
"Lives in Tennessee, she'd be closer if we moved to Texas."
Kirstie couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Do you even want to move to Texas?"
"Not particularly," he shrugged, "But I'm not gonna not be there for my kid."
     "You'll seriously move to Texas?"
"Yeah. I don't see why not, I can be a bar tender anywhere right?"
     "Right, I just," she stammered.
"Do you not want me to?"
"No I do, I just didn't think it would be this easy. I expected a fight," she laughed.
He shook his head, "I don't like fighting. I'm not a pushover, but Texas makes the most sense, so why wouldn't we do that?"
"We?" She smiled, it made her stomach flutter, like the baby kicks, but better.
"Yeah, we. Nut you have to do something for me too. I'm moving states, so you can do this."
     "Of course."
"Find a new job, something you actually want to do."
"Then you can't be a bar tender anymore, you have to do something you want too!"
He immediately started shaking his head, "No, I have to support us-"
"We, us, Avi you're starting to sound like you want a relationship," she smirked.
"Well don't you think we owe it to baby to give it a go?"
"Well yeah, but I also think we owe it to ourselves, we've both been stupid and done some immature things, but I really like you and you like me, right?"
"I really do, like you said though, once we get past the being idiots part," he joked.
Kirstie smiled, "And we can't just be together for baby's sake, we have to actually like each other and want to give it a go."
     "And we do."
"Okay, but I have to ask, because you weren't so keen on trying this last time," she hoped that wasn't harsh.
"I guess it just hurt so bad when you stood me up that it really showed me how much I wanted this."
Kirstie wrapped her arms around him, "I'm still very sorry Avi."
"What happened that night, why were you late?"
"I was very drunk, and very distracted by the Jess thing, but I don't want to make excuses. Can we just, like not forget, because I don't think that's healthy, but move on?" She squeezed him tighter.
"Of course," he squeezed her back, his chin lightly resting on her head.
"I'm also not gonna quit my job though."
"Kirstie," he laughed, but she could hear the undertone of annoyed.
"Hear me out, I get maternity leave, and during that time I focus on music, we focus on music, as well as look after baby of course. And hopefully I have something to show for it by the time it's time to go back. Then I quit."
Avi nodded slowly, "Alright, I can get behind that. Also we need to think of a name for baby, because calling him baby all the time is just," he grimaced. "He deserves better."
With a giggle, Kirstie nodded in agreement. "Awesome. I have a list."
