FLOWERS ARE beautiful. They came in all shapes and colors, and every single one of them was unique. They were a little piece of paradise just about everywhere, no matter what time of year it was. They made people smile, they made their surroundings more vibrant, and they made life just a little bit better. Tallulah Kensington loved flowers. No, you don't get it. Like, she adores flowers. It wasn't just a casual hobby or a passing interest — it was a genuine passion.  Tallulah's love for flowers ran so deep, you could say it was embedded into her very soul. It was a love that had been instilled in her ever since she was a young girl, and it never wavered, not once. She could spend hours in her family's garden, tending to the delicate petals, trimming stems, and arranging the blooms just so.

Roses, tulips, daisies, sunflowers, lilacs — each one spoke to her, like they had their own language, their own soul. The fifteen-year-old girl could name every species she encountered, down to the rarest and most exotic. But what she loved most about flowers wasn't just their beauty — it was their resilience. No matter how harsh the winter, how dry the summer, flowers always found a way to bloom again, to rise from the soil and reach for the sun. Her friends would often joke about how her room looked like a small floral shop, vases on every windowsill, petals scattered across her desk from the bouquets she constantly rearranged. But to Tallulah, it wasn't clutter — it was life, blooming in every corner of her world. Despite being only a freshman in high school Tallulah had already earned a reputation as the "flower girl."

Her classmates would often spot her with a flower tucked behind her ear or carrying a book about botany, and while she knew she was often called that as in insult, she didn't mind it at all. In fact, she liked it. She embraced the nickname with pride. Being the "flower girl" meant she had something unique, something that connected her to nature in a way others didn't understand. And she had always had a soft spot for nature. She didn't have many friends though. Only two. But really that's all she needed because she would rather have a few close friends than a dozen distant acquaintances.

Theodore 'Theo' Barnes was one of her two friends and her best friend and next door neighbor. They had been inseparable since they were little, their friendship growing like the plants Tallulah cared for. Theo, with his brown hair and constant curiosity, was the complete opposite of Tallulah in some ways — he wasn't particularly interested in flowers or gardening, but he admired her passion. He always listened to her go on and on about different types of flowers, even if he had no idea what she was talking about. He could listen to her for hours though and didn't care what they talked about, just as long as he was with her.

Because to him, Tallulah wasn't just his best friend — she was the light in his otherwise mundane world. It had been a few years since his dad has past, but his mom was still quite protective, maybe even overprotective. So, he didn't really get out much, other than hanging out with his friends or going to school. But when he was with Tallulah, everything was brighter, clearer. His troubles seemed to melt away, like spring rain washing the last remnants of winter snow away. He was the kind of friend who would hang out in her garden, offering up jokes or random facts while she worked, never once minding the soil or the thorns. He was the kind of friend that Tallulah had grown to depend on, that she would be lost without. Though he was also the one who had her heart...He just didn't know it yet. But the thing is, she didn't know that he felt the same about her.

As the seasons changed and their friendship continued to blossom and soon enough their hidden feelings their hidden feelings began to emerge, like flowers in the spring, and things started to shift between them. The once-clear line between friendship and something more began to blur, as subtle hints and stolen glances became more frequent. They didn't know it yet, but they both were the sun for each other and that no matter how far apart they might be, they'd always gravitate back towards each other. They would always find their way back together, because there was nothing in this world that could keep them apart.
