I have a bad habit of falling for girls I can't have. I spent most of high school longing for a girl my best friend, Matt, had determined wasn't good enough for me.

Turns out he had a thing for her, too. I took my revenge, but I'm not proud of it. 

In fact, most days I'm pretty disgusted with myself.

If I couldn't trust my best friend to be real with me, I didn't want to trust anyone. So I pulled back. I shut down.  It wasn't until Jeff, another guy in our group, showed me what true friendship was that I dared to even be around friends again outside of school and football obligations. 

But the fucker has a sister that stole my heart right after she stole a kiss.

Now I'm back to hiding from everyone because no one is more off limits then a best friend's sister.
