When Sunshine awoke, the first thing she noticed was that it was cold and dark. Then, she felt that Kiwi was gone. Next, an avalanche of thoughts and emotions of terror.

There was the sound of a dragon landing hard and fast, followed by a second. Sunshine opened her eyes and bolted upright. Queen Glory looked truly terrifying outlined as a dark shadow against the pink and purple sunset. "There's a terrible accident really far away. I won't be back for a long time. Your guards are staying with you." She flew off.

Sunshine waited a few seconds before turning to her guards, a bold, determined look in her face. "Take me there," she demanded.

"She never said we couldn't leave," Starfruit added.

Before long, Sunshine was in the tarp again, being carried by Passion and Pineapple, with Starfruit flying around them, sometimes above, sometimes below. All of them looked anxious.

Soon, they arrived at a clearing. Sunshine and her guards hid in the nearby trees. Sunshine clutched at her head, willing for the emotions of terror to stop permeating her skull. They were fighting a jaguar.

The clearing was a mess. Dead RainWings were everywhere. The RainWings kept invisible and struck the jaguar, but they had barely made a dent in it compared to the dozens it had killed, as if by scent. The RainWings refused to use their venom until Queen Glory appeared. She ordered it. The RainWings surrounded the jaguar and melted it instantly. Their relatives then came in and cleaned up the mess.

When they were preparing to leave the clearing, there was a weak cry from a bush next to where the jaguar died. Everyone held their breath and watched as a baby jaguar stumbled out of the bush. No one, not even Queen Glory, had the heart to kill it. However, everyone knew that if they just left it it would die. Murmurs spread through the crowd of warriors as they collected the dead on tarps like Sunshine's to be buried.

"Is anyone willing to care for it?" Queen Glory asked hopefully. It was still young, so it could be trained in their ways to help them instead of hurt them. However, most were lazy and afraid, so no one volunteered. Queen Glory sighed and rolled it into her own tarp. None of her friends or relatives had died. "Baobab," she instructed, "Tell Bushmaster's group to start building an enclosure for this little one. Immediately." Baobab flew off.

Queen Glory started grumbling. A flash of orange (irritation) rippled across her scales for only a moment before she masked it. She started ordering other RainWings to assist her in carrying the tarp carrying the baby jaguar, but her words were drowned out by its wails. Sunshine watched as they lifted the tarp off the ground and slowly began to fly off towards the same general direction Queen Glory's platform. "Time to leave," Sunshine murmured, and they swiftly flew off.
