Wow, 21! Yeah, I realized that with me not editing the last chapter, was a big mistake. I've been trying to do that schedule I have on my about me thing, and so far, I think I'm a tad late. It was supposed to be done by Wednesday. I'm trying to make it up to you by making this chap. A bit long. In the last chapter, did it seem like the characters were a bit cranky? It did to me. I felt fine when I was writing it, oh well. Sorry for the long authors note. On with the story!

Random P.O.V.

The golden tom slipped into the den. "What are you doing?" A sleepy voice groaned. "I didn't mean to-" The other tom stopped and screeched. "Oakpaw, wake up! Oakpaw!" The golden tom narrowed his eyes, nudging the brown streaked tom.
"Wake up, we have to collect some moss." He murmured.

"Why?" Oakpaw muttered sleepily.

"Because Thornclaw said so." He grinned playfully.
"Is the Gathering over?" Asked the half asleep tom.

"No, it might have only started a few minutes ago." The tom mewed, looking above at the full moon.
"Okay, I'll meet you at the twolegpath." He murmured. "Okay." He padded out of the den into the night air.

Oakpaw's P.O.V.
He stood up as his brother left the gloomy den. He padded out of the den, seeing Violetpaw speaking briskly with Thornclaw.
"Can we sneak to the gathering?" Violetpaw whispered to Thornclaw.

Oakpaw noticed the off conversation and interrupted.
"When are we leaving?" He asked, padding towards the two.
Thornclaw looked around nervously.
"Where's your brother?" Thornclaw glared at Oakpaw.

"Why does it matter? He went to the two leg path for moss. I told him I'd meet him there with you."
Thornclaw snarled.
"You mouse-brain! You left him alone?" Thornclaw paced.
"What's wrong with that?"

"Tigerstar wants to attack tonight!" Violetpaw gasped, clearly just learning this herself.
"What? He never told me." Oakpaw growled.

"How did you know anyways?" Oakpaw looked at Violetpaw confused.
"I've never seen you in the Dark Forest before." He murmured confused.

"Thornclaw told me about it, and so I joined. Whose your mentor? Mine's Ivypool." Violetpaw asked excitedly.

"Hollowflight. He's a good warrior. So why is Tigerstar doing the attack tonight, on the full moon?" Oakpaw glanced back at Thornclaw.

Thornclaw still looked worried. "And why does it matter if Sunpaw's alone? He knows how to fight." Oakpaw added.

"Brokenstar was talking to Hawkfrost about taking Sunpaw hostage. I asked Brackenfur to keep him in the camp today, which he did. I asked to stay to watch him, but now I can't because you lost him!" Thornclaw let out a growl.

"Its not his fault. He didn't know. For StarClan's sake, I still don't even know what's going on!" Violetpaw argued.

"I don't get it, why does every cat look at me and my siblings worriedly all the time? Every time we walk out of camp, go to dirtplace, even when we're hunting!" Oakpaw scowled.

Thornclaw sighed. "Right after you were born, Firestar told your mother of a prophecy. All the senior warriors were told of it." Mousewhisker padded towards him.
"Has he done something wrong again?" Mousewhisker sighed.

"Uh, no," Violetpaw answered.

"I was just explaining the prophecy to him," Thornclaw snarled warning.

"Oh, sorry, it's my apprentice, thought I'd be the one to tell him!" Mousewhisker hissed, claws unsheathing. "Settle down, you two. We can't afford a fight within our own borders right now." Birchfall stood between the two warriors.

"Liontail said she wanted to tell them anyways." Birchfall said knowingly.

"She trusts me as well as any other cat." Thornclaw muttered.

"And since when did you start believing in StarClan anyways?" Birchfall sighed confused, looking at Violetpaw.
"I always have, ever since I was apprenticed. I started to believe, especially when Tigerstar first visited me. He told me of the wondrous things I could do, and I couldn't help but believe." Voiletpaw finished.

"This isn't the time. Oakpaw, Tigerstar is going to try to kill Sunpaw. Tonight!" Thornclaw hissed, scraping his claws into the earth. "Why would Tigerstar do that? He's just been training us." Violetpaw murmured.

"He's evil! Don't you see? He's trying to use us!" Mousewhisker hissed angrily.

"I hope you've trained well." A sneaky voice emerged from the shadows. "Who would ever use you, my dear comrades?" Hawkfrost's tabby pelt shone like slime in the full moon light.
"Wh- what are y- you doing he- here?" Violetpaw shuddered beside him.

"I've come to gather my apprentices for one last training session." Hawkfrost mewed.

"But tonight's the-" Birchfall started only to be interrupted.

"The attack? No, don't you ThunderClan mousehearts ever listen to a word Brokenstar says?" Hawkfrost sighed.
Before Violetpaw could argue, Oakpaw whipped his tail over her mouth. He silently prayed she wouldn't say anything to offend the dark warrior.

"Not to offend you or any such, but us Thunder-"

"Shush and listen to what he has to say, Birchfall. We could learn things from him." Thornclaw flicked his tail as Birchfall cast an angry look towards the older warrior.
Birchfall sat down and swept his tail over the dust.

Hawkfrost smirked greedily. "Yes, Birchfall. Now, come with me, young apprentices." Hawkfrost disappeared from the shadows and into the ThunderClan forests. Thornclaw nodded and padded out of the entrance to follow Hawkfrost. Birchfall followed them from the back, and Violetpaw and him set out before.

The moon was at its fullest height by the time they where nearing the old twolegpath.
"Where are we going?" Violetpaw whispered eagerly. "I don't know, he said we were going for a final training session. Maybe he wants us to fight off a badger from ThunderClan territory!" He gasped excitedly to Violetpaw. "I don't know, he might do something else with us." Mousewhisker padded back to join the two apprentices, whiskers twitching with uncertainty. Excitement still welled in Oakpaw's throat.

When the patrol reached the twolegpath, Hawkfrost ordered for them to sit in a circle around him.

Beside Oakpaw, Mousewhisker sneezed. "Gee, I hope leaf bare doesn't come soon. We'll all have the sniffles!" Violetpaw purred.

"Enough chit chat." Hawkfrost muttered sharply.

"What about Blossomfall?" Thornclaw mewed, fear in his eyes.

"We'll have to start without her, she's at the gathering tonight. Lucky her, I wish I could've gone!" Birchfall added, licking his paw. "Ivypool is there too." Birchfall purred at the thought of his daughter.

"Lucky her? You rather be with soft kittypets than your new clan mates?" Hawkfrost snarled, digging his claws into the ground in front of Birchfall, making Oakpaw want to squeeze away from the broad shouldered warrior. "Should I kill you on the spot, or are you going to be a loyal warrior?" Hawkfrost growled and turned away. "Let's get to training you furballs. You need to track down that runt Sunpaw, he's worthless and easy prey."
