Meanwhile, Sonic finally reached back to the Windy Hill Zone and saw the EggBots having the Fauna of Windy Hill captive.

Sonic: "Easy peasy!"

He destroyed them all in 3 seconds flat.

Sonic: "It's all about speed."

When he went to free the animals, he got shot in the back by hidden EggBots.

Sonic: "Wha!"

The EggBots was shooting laser blasts instead of laser beams.

Sonic: "Man, sometimes I wish I was Shadow. I could make him slow down time. He could perform Chaos Control to make things easier. I can't find at least find two Chaos Emeralds to produce Chaos Control in time. That beam is extending for who knows it's estimate."

Sonic then hid behind some hill for a sneak attack. When he was about to get out, someone stopped him at the last second.

Sonic: "Hmph... Bad timing, Shadow."

Shadow: "Hmph! Always trying me to reconsider helping you."

Sonic: "Whatever. Just do what you gotta do."

Shadow: "Chaos...Control! Go, Sonic!"

Sonic ran up to it, stood behind it almost time was over.

Shadow: "Show Off."

Sonic: "I get that a lot."

Once time returned back to normal, Sonic performed a back throw and him and Shadow teamed up to stop it.

Sonic: "Homing Attack!"

Shadow: "Chaos Spear!"

It blew up and the Fauna were free.

Shadow: "I'm off."

Sonic: "Hold it, Shadow!"

Shadow: "What?"

Sonic: "Can you at least transport me back to Final Destination?"

Shadow: "Fine. You have your Chaos Emerald?"

Sonic: "Right here."

They both took out their Chaos Emeralds.

Shadow: "Chaos..."

Sonic: "Chaos..."

Both: "CONTROL!"

They opened the time space rift and Sonic goes through it before saying thanks to Shadow.

Sonic: "Thanks, Shadow."

Shadow: "Anytime."

The rift closes and Shadow took off.
