It had been a few months of school until I switched homerooms

"Everyone, this is Ally. She's a part of our class now. She had her homerooms switched" The teacher said

Everyone was staring at me as I sat down. I was very shy

I had a new group of kids to adjust to

But I sat next to a boy that I couldn't help but keep staring at

He was always smiling for some reason

After class

I walked down the hallway

Everyone was just about leaving so the halls were clearing

I began to wonder why I kept staring at that boy. I smiled at the thought

My thoughts were interrupted when I bumped into someone, dropping all my stuff

"Oh I'm sorry" I said

"Oh you will be. Bumping into MY boyfriend" A girl said

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to" I said worried

She slapped me right in the face so hard I fell again

She grabbed me by my hair and was about to hit me

I braced for impact, but I never felt it

"Hey! Who do you think you are" Someone said

I looked over and saw the boy that I kept staring at

"Ugh! You! Stay outta this boy!" The girl's boyfriend said

"I'm not just gonna sit here and let you hit her like that!"

The boys walked torwards each other

It was a bit of fighting. 5 minutes later the boy was on the floor

"You meanie! The boy said getting up before running "mommy!"

The girl let my hair go and walked away

"Come back" She called

The other boy in my class walked torwards me

"You okay?" He asked

I nodded

"Yeah" I mumbled

"I know you. Your that girl that switched to my class" He said

"Yep" I said with a small, fake smile

He helped me with my stuff

"Im Mark by the way. Please mind them. They always think that they can boss people around. They're so ignorant-"

He stopped talking and we both froze

Our hands touched

He looked at me and I looked at him. We stared at each other. I tried not to blush

I chuckled nervously as we both stood up

"Thanks for that" I said

"No problem. I just hate people picking on innocent people" Mark replied

"My name's Ally" I said

"Nice to meet you Ally" He said sticking out his hand

I smiled and shook it

And for the rest of the day we just talked about anything
