During lunch, I explained to Valt as much as I knew. I even told him about Kirika, and he had a hundred questions to ask.

"What did you think when you woke up this morning?"

"Honestly, I didn't know what to think. I thought that I had gone back in time, but then I saw Rose and got really confused."

"Well, other you is in love with Rose. You were really shy with your affection at first, but then you and Rose got really close. You got really jealous when any other guy showed the slightest interest in her."

"I was jealous?"

"Well, other you was."

I looked at Rose at the other end of the cafeteria. She hasn't tried to talk to me since our conversation earlier.

"Just out of curiosity, we are still best friends in your universe, right?" Valt suddenly asked.

"Of course we are," I answered.

"Thank goodness," said Valt. "And you're fifteen, right?"

"Yes."

"Am I still world champion?"

I wasn't sure how to gently break the news about him and Aiger Akabane competing to be World Champion, but thankfully I didn't have to answer.

I heard voices mocking me behind my back. I didn't like this at all.

"Why is Valt still friends with Shu? He literally pushed him away and broke his beyblade."

"I know. Valt should have dumped him."

Valt heard the whispers too. "Ignore them," he whispered.

The people whispering about me didn't bother to lower their voices, clearly wanting me to hear. I felt sick and no longer hungry.

"I have to go," I said.

"But the Beyclub..." started Valt.

I ignored him and ran to the bathroom. Big mistake.

Three guys stared at me as if I had three heads like Kerbeus. They acted scared too, as if I was some sort of... No, I didn't want to think of that word.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing," said the boys. They ran out quickly.

I locked myself in a stall and broke down in tears. I cried so much that my head started to hurt.

I don't know how long I was in the stall. I didn't feel like going out. Then, I heard someone knocking on the stall door.

"Shu, are you there?"

It was Daigo. I didn't feel like talking, so I kept quiet.

"Shu is in there. But he's not answering."

"Shu?" asked Valt. "It's time for Math, remember?"

"Shu?" asked Rantaro. "Are you okay?"

No I was not okay. I didn't like being reminded of my Red Eye days.

"Shu, can you please come out?" asked Wakiya.

It must be serious if Wakiya was being polite. Normally Wakiya would demand me to come out. Not that I would listen.

"Is Shu not coming out?" came Rose's voice.

Wait, Rose is here too? I wanted to cry again.

"We can't force Shu to come out."

"Yes, but I can't stand the thought of Shu sitting in there, miserable. Besides, he will get detention if he skips class."

I felt the walls closing in. Was I claustrophobic? I didn't think that I was, but now I wasn't so sure.

Suddenly, my stomach felt weird. I think that I was going to...

I quickly stood up and opened the toilet lid. Then I was sick in the toilet bowl.

"Shu, are you sick?" asked Valt's panicked voice. I had to come out.

So I opened the stall door and came out. There stood the entire Beyclub. They all looked concerned. Rose and my kindergarten classmate Kairi Ogawa were also there.

"Shu!" yelled Valt. "Are you alright?"

"No," I said. I was feeling a little faint.

"You look terrible!" said Rantaro. "You should have stayed home."

I went to check my reflection in the mirror. It was obvious that I had been crying and my face looked a little green.

"I think that you should go home," said Kairi. "You look sick."

"I'm fine," I muttered, although I knew that there was something wrong with me.

"Shu!!!!!!!" said Valt. "Pretty pretty please go home and rest?"

Not the puppy dog eyes! But I knew that Valt was right and I wasn't well. "Fine, I will go home."

I went out of the bathroom, but almost stumbled a little. I felt soft hands catch me.

"Are you alright?" asked Rose. "I can ask my Mom to look after you."

"What? No way," I said.

But Rose looked at me so sadly that I had to agree.

"Fine."

"Great," said Rose. "I will call my Mom."

Our fingers suddenly brushed against each other. Why was I feeling really warm all of a sudden?
