Chris arrived at the venue without Cecilia, he had convincingly told her not to come; though she had been persistent. His door was flung open by his driver, he walked out of the car. The parking lot was filled with different sizes and types of cars. Of course it would, besides it was an elite party.

Behind the gates were paparazzi and teams of media personnels trying to get a peek of the party but were held back by some abled body guards.

"Oh my God!, Chris D?".

Well not all of them, he turned abruptly to the voice. His bouncers wore fierce looks as the fragile looking lady walked to them.

"Just let her be". He whispered to them and raising his voice to the lady "Hey dear, how can I help you?".

The lady shrieked "OMG, it's really Chris D".

Chris shot an eyebrow "Do you want an autograph or something?".

"Yes... I mean no... Yes, a selfie preferably" The lady replied dreamily.

Chris smiled revealing his dimples "Anything for the lady".

She blushed furiously "I'm Kate".

"Lovely name for a beautiful lady".

She giggled and brought out her phone, He shook his head chuckling and possed for a selfie. Ten to twelve selfies later, she pushed her phone back into her bag.

"Thank you so much"

"It's nothing". He smirked.

All the ladies loved him, well except one. He heaved a sigh.
"I have to go"

She nodded furiously and ran off, he smiled and turned towards the mansion not missing the grimace Madu had on his face.
"What is it?".

Madu shrugged "I didn't say anything".

     Lara fumed as the couple approached her, she could feel Brenda's soothing circles on her palm in a bid to calm her; but that wasn't helping. She didn't know how to react or think, seeing the guy she had loved after barely a month of breaking up, this wasn't what she planned for. She wasn't annoyed that he broke up with her or that he had a very beautiful lady by his side but because he was invited.

"Lara, long time no see". Micheal grinned and turned abruptly to Brenda "Oh!, Hi B, I didn't see you there".

"Yeah me too". Brenda grunted a response.

Lara asked coolly "What are you doing here?".

He chuckled and held the lady to him "Your mum invited me".

"Did she?"

"Yeah, she did".

From her peripheral vision, she could see Chris approaching; she had never felt so delighted to see Chris. Her heart skipped beats as he neared her.

"Hello ladies" He looked over Micheal in disdain "and young man".

"Pleasure meeting you" Micheal outstretched his hand for a handshake.

Chris looked down on the hand before him "It isn't a pleasure meeting you". He paused "Are you disturbing my wife and her friend?"

"What.... No!"
Lara smiled and leaned towards Chris "Babe, how was your day?".
"Very stressful, and I kept thinking about you".

Wow!, For a guy like Chris; he sure knew how to put up an act. She lifted herself to her half toes and pecked his cheek, she felt him tense up; she too wasn't expecting it.

Micheal coughed awkwardly "I'll leave you guys"

Brenda chuckled "You better".

Brenda and Micheal never got along; Brenda had always advised her against Micheal.

Michael nodded and walked away with the lady trailing behind him.

"You look beautiful". Chris said staring at Lara.

She melted under his gaze but she wanted to stay angry at him and not feel the butterflies in her belly but that was impossible; not with the way he was staring at her like she was the only one in the room.

"You guys are so cute, Abeg let me go and find my husband". Brenda stood from the couch.
