Past and now

"Today was wonderful..." The other boys raspy voice almost made Jimins heart skip a beat, as he buried himself in his pillow, gripping his phone tightly in order to not miss anything the other might say.

"I think so too... We have to do something like that again..." Jimin stated a small smile forming on his lips. He was head over heels for the other and wasn't afraid to show it.

"Sure~" A low chuckle could be heard as the older leaned back. "So... what are you doing tonight?"

Jimin sat up clearing his throat, because he didn't want his voice to give away just how nervous he actually was.

"I'm not really sure what to do yet. Maybe I will go to sleep early or something..." Jimin awkwardly fiddled with his hoodies strings, avoiding eye contact with someone who wasn't even there.

A laugh filled the phone call and Jimin couldn't help but smile at the sweet sound. "You know I was actually thinking about implying sexting."

Instantly Jimins face heated up. "Oh..." His reaction only lead to the older laughing even louder.

"So damn innocent and cute~"

"Jimin? Are you okay?" Confused I woke up, instantly wanting to go back. Although I tried my best not to let it get to me, the beautiful moments were the ones that hurt the most looking back. Sure... he could always remind himself of the fact, that Beom had hit him, but there still were times he out of nowhere missed his past relationship.

Still it only took him seeing Yoongis face for two seconds, for him to forget any type of regret he had leaving his past relationship. The warm smile he gave him, led to Jimin instantly tearing up even further, feeling the need to hold Yoongi even closer.

He sniffled sitting up and burying his face in the fabric of Yoongis sweatpants.

"Shhh everything's okay..." The boy softly ruffled Jimins hair, while sitting down next to him. "Did you have a bad dream?"

Guilt struck Jimin because of his partner's question. How would Yoongi feel if he knew about Jimins dreams about his past relationship. Wasn't it sort of similar to cheating on him. Another set of tears welled up in his eyes. "I'm sorry..."

Yoongi had known quite for some time just how sensitive Jimin had always been, but it still took him by surprise from time to time, just how extreme it could be.

"Why are you sorry..." He softly smiled at the boy in order to get him to calm down.

"I keep dreaming about him..." He stuttered in-between sobs, keeping up the eye contact. He wanted to see Jimins reaction.

"I know." The statement only made Jimin shake his head, as he used his oversized sleeve to wipe away his tears.

"Not only the bad things... I remember everything..." He stated doing his best pulling himself together.

Yoongi nodded once again taking in a deep breath. "I knew that aswell... but thanks for telling me. I'm not going to judge you. You ended of the relationship really badly, but it hasn't always been that way... of course you can't get over it that easy." Reassuring he took his hand and slowly circled his thumb on Jimins skin.

"Don't pressure yourself because of it... I know how you feel about me so don't feel guilty okay?"

Jimin slowly nodded, before having to sneeze without a warning.

Now that he was actually awake he suddenly started feeling his body again. The dizziness caused by his cold, which seemed to have evolved into a fever, made him feel lightheaded.

Yoongi reacted rather quickly, covering Jimin in a blanked and softly pushing him back into the mattress. "Ly down... I'm just going to warm up the soup Jin made for you, so try get some rest."

Sleepy Jimin sighed and closed his eyes, feeling as if a heavy weight had been lifted of his shoulders. "Yoongi? I'm really happy to have you and I would never exchange you for him... not even the old version..." His voice was almost a whisper, but Yoongi still heard him.

"Thanks... That makes me happy, but now sleep."

Jimin could feel Yoongis lips brushing against his forehead. "You have to get well..."

A/N

I'm not sure whether this story will make people kind of rethink the whole thing or if it will trigger a shitstorm of how putting a toxic relationship into good light is absolutly horrible (just saying that's not what I'm doing but I could imagine people thinking that)

Btw everything said in this story is not exactly my world view but instead the characters world view

For example if Jimin said "Jungkook and Tae are officially dating now." That doesn't mean they're dating now. It just means Jimin said it for whatever reason he did.
