Five years later

"What is that sound?" asked an Asian looking boy as he looked at a girl with a similar complex and a short brown hair. "Beautiful piano, isn't it?"

"It must be either Aunt Saki or Aunt Hiroko, Watari." said the girl besides him, Sawabe Tsubaki.

"That sounds really cool," added Dudley Buchanan, formerly Dursley.

"Dudley" said a boy with lightning bolt scar on his head. "Indeed it is. And let me tell you this. I want to be able to play the guitar."

"Well, Tell it to Dad then, Harry." He smiled at the boy. "Come, hurry up, we might miss the show!"

.....

Arima Kousei's POV

"Hiro-chan, you have a fight again with your husband?" I asked at Seto Hiroko, a best friend of my mother.

Naomi whispered at me. "Knowing Hiroko-obachan (aunt), I think so."

You are right. We are British, but also proud Japanese and that means we are bilingual.

"This is no fight, this is war! If I apologize we're done for good!" She sang while playing the piano. Dad was at his office in Diagon Alley that time. And I cannot deny that I am attracted to her and my mum's piano playing even since I was 1!

"Onii-chan (Brother), why don't you try to play?" asked Naomi.

A knock on the door interrupted things.

"Good afternoon, Auntie Saki!" greeted Harry. "Are we disturbed you and Kousei's playing?"

"Of course not, kids... Kousei and Naomi love visits, Come on!"

The door was closed, as Kousei continued his playing.

"And as one day you will go to Hogwarts together let's know each other better, shall we?" Saki asked us all, as I did show what I am as a wizard since age 4. Harry, Tsubaki, Watari, and Dudley had also shown their magical power at that point.

Tsubaki's mother is a British half-blood with her father a British-Japanese pure-blood while Watari's parents are all magical too, but his mother is a muggle-born.

I cannot hold it anymore and so I leap in and sat besides Auntie Hiroko and played the piano to the same tone as what she played.

Seto gasped.

"Kousei... How are you able to play the piano?"

"Why wouldn't I be able to play the piano?"

In her amazement, Seto immediately shouted. "Saki! Let's make him a good pianist! Good for him to know what muggles can do with that!"

And so the entire house were listening to me played the song once more followed by "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"

Applause from Tsubaki, Watari, and Harry filled the room with more magic of joy!

...

June 1985.

"Harry, where are you going for the summer?" I asked as I saw Dudley and Harry went out of their house.

"Well.. I just stay here at home, my dad is working, Police got little holiday, and that means, Uncle Remus or Uncle Severus will come for us. But don't worry, this also means more time to play football together."

Harry smiled at his cousin, agreeing with his statement. Then Dudley asked me again. "How about you?"

"Scotland. Piano competition."

"Good luck" said Dudley.

"All the best, Kousei." Harry replied at me before I answered him back. "Watari and Tsubaki are already in Scotland. They're waiting for me. See you all!"

"Kids.. get ready, this will be a fun ride."

Both Naomi and I exclaimed, "Yeay!"

"Takahiko-san, are you ready?" Seto asked.

The car, a Range Rover, is specially bewitched with Undetectable Extension Charm. The real magic on this car, however, is its ability to travel very fast and obstacles will go out of its way just like the Knight Bus, a testament of Dad's Charm Mastery.

Other charms provided including Reinforcing Charm, Fireproof, and Anti-Theft charm.

"Ready." Mum smiled at Dad, then he hit the gas.

The trip lasted two and a half hours.

The Welbeck Hall is a muggle style hidden concert hall for magical located in eastern part of Glasgow. It's entrance disguised as an abandoned office, constructed with tolerance from the more open-minded Ministry officials. It's the venue for the Children's Piano Festival for Magicals, one of the few musical competitions for wizard and witches who are musically inclined.

"We're here!"

The air of excitement but also anxiety passed through us.

"Come, kids!"

"Alright, Mum!"

We walked into the hall entrance by telling the password "Melody" into a magical statue of a Polish muggle composer Frederic Chopin.

"It's been a while since we've come here as guests, hasn't it, Hiroko-chan?"

"Sure thing, Saki. Sure it's hard to get nervous."

"He can do it."

As they passed deep into the hall, I overheard a girl innocently said to someone "You're so cute.. Let's got a photo taken together!"

"...Say cheese" And as the flash went out from the photographer. Kousei stopped for a while and focusing himself on the direction of the girl that they had just heard requesting a photo.

The girl wore a pink dress and has a chin-length blonde hair.

"What's wrong, Kousei?" asked my father.

"Ummmm.... nothing, Dad."

Meanwhile, a girl with short hair tied in two high pigtails with red ribbons and wearing a knee-length pink dress with frills over a white blouse with red ribbons tying the ends of the sleeves sat between her parents, eating a popsicle. She also had a large red bow over her neckline.

"You always got a soda ice block, don't you, Emi?" asked the girl's mother.

"Is it tasty, Emi?" said the father.

Meanwhile, the mother is reading the festival's guidebook and then told Emi and her father. "I am curious to see this Kousei plays, as well as Alice."

I want to go out and play Quidditch with Joseph, David, and the others. muttered the girl.

"Yeah. my friend in the Ministry told me that he could inherit his mum's talent. I wonder if it's true. Furthermore, I can imagine where he will be sorted when he goes to Hogwarts with our Emi..."

"Hurry up, Watari, it's that way!" a girl with short hair passed through the family while shouted at Watari.

"Hey, wait up, will you, Tsubaki? I saw a really pretty lady back there, you know." Tsubaki wasn't amused and silenced him in Japanese.

"Urusai!"

......

"Number 5, Kousei Arima!" boomed the announcer.

Needless to say and unknown to him, while Kousei played in an almost technically perfect state, his rendition of Piano Sonata No.3 in B-flat major, K.281/189f by Mozart showed something else inside the hall.

Luckily, classical instruments like piano and violin are not using electricity at all...

Everything seems colorful for many wizards and witches inside the hall. Everything looks powerful, innocent, and peaceful at the same time almost devoid of troubles.

Oh, how I wish Harry can be here.

"Brother.." I can fee that it touched Naomi as well, the strong sensation of magic in the hall. A peaceful and happy existence of life.

The music concluded. "I did it!"

However, Emi, sat beside her parents, which themselves sat behind Takahiko, Saki, Seto, Naomi, Tsubaki, and Watari had a different reaction completely.

She burst into tears, shocking everyone in the room including a girl with the blonde hair sat beside Emi.

And for me, it's my first time winning. Something that I really not expected too much, as this is my first time competing!

"Mum.. Dad.. Naomi, thank you!!" I cannot hold it anymore. My tears of joy flowed without ceasing as I hugged my parents, followed by Naomi, and finally Tsubaki and Watari who supported me.

"Remember.. winning or not. I will always love you." A loving whisper from my mum brought my tears to a stop...

"Mum's right, Kousei," said my dad.

......

September 1st, 1986.

Arima Kousei's POV

I woke up at the sound of their parents calling me in the morning. And this won't be an usual day as it will by my first day at school with Harry, Dursley, and the others. A magical elementary school, to be exact. The London Magical Preparatory School, with my dad is part of the school board.

"One of my close friends in Hogwarts teaches here, too. Don't forget to say hi from me" Dad told me a night before.

"Of course, Dad."

"Kousei, have you done your change? Harry, Tsubaki, Watari, and Dudley are waiting for you and already done their breakfast," asked my mum.

"We're out, Okaa-san!"

"Dudders.. Ready for your first day with me?" asked Harry.

"Ready for that. I am really excited to be able to understand who we are before Hogwarts, you know."

"Everyone ready?" Takahiko asked the children and their accompanying parents, before guided them into the house's fireplace. Saki will be the last to go as she is accompanying Petunia and Dudley while Tsubaki and Watari's parents will accompany their children. Takahiko will take care of Kousei, Harry, and Naomi.

"London Magical Preparatory School!"

The fireplace was situated in the muggle-style school's multifunction hall.

"Take care, be good at school, and have fun!"

"Kousei, take care"

"Okay, Naomi." I told her.

The adults along with Naomi which will attend LMPS two years later then left them to head back to their respective homes.

The school itself was founded in 1750 by Michael Prewett, part of a prominent Prewett family, in a bid to improve the educational and ethical level of magical due to an event known as "Crisis of 1748" in which half of fifth-year Hogwarts students in that year were implicated in a massive and systematic cheating scandal during the OWL (Ordinary Wizarding Level), with the ringleaders were expelled and have their wands snapped and their memories wiped out, banishing them to the muggle world. Others were ordered to repeat their fifth year in the next academic year or suspended for a year.

The scandal also caused the Anti-Cheating Spell, its primary safeguard, to be redesigned by the Wizarding Examinations Authority as the spell was found to be circumvented during the event. Not every magical attend it, though, as its non-mandatory and generally, its students consist of above-average young magical and or those who had trouble controlling their magic. Especially helpful for those who were raised in broken homes, muggle households, or orphanages.

Another reason of the school's founding was the "1730 Liverpool Incident" in which a group of magical scion of rich families, spoiled rotten and have no knowledge of magical ethics, experimented with Dark Arts in the said city which resulted in an explosion which caused property damage and casualties to the muggle area, resulted in a need of mass obliviation. Surviving perpetrators were subsequently obliviated and banished with some emigrated to the back-then British colonies in what's now Canada and the United States. Many of their families also left Britain for the New World, out of shame.

Harry was talking with Dudley while a blond-haired girl went into Kousei's table on the left side of Harry's.

"Can I sit with you? Everywhere else is full."

"Alright. Come!"

The girl sat and soon extended her hand. "Anyway.. hajimemashite. Watashi no namae wa Kaori Miyazono desu. You can call me Kaori."

"You speak Japanese too?"

"My dad is half-British, that's why I am blonde, unlike most Japanese. While we're proud British but being able to speak our mother tongue is always a good one, Arima Kousei."

My eyes widened. "I agree, but wait.. how do you know my name before I told you?"

"You are famous in the wizarding world as a pianist, you know," she started. "And last year you won the Children's Piano Festival in Welbeck Hall in Glasgow last year. You definitely don't forget that.."

"You watched it?"

"You're right, Kousei... "

"By the way, Kaori.," he called his friends and Harry. "Meet my friends."

"Sweet Merlin, Morgana, and Abe... Is that Harry Potter?? The Boy Who Lived?" she spoke up after she introduced himself to Harry, Dudley, Tsubaki, and Watari.

"Well, Kaori. The first thing you have to know of me is I don't like that title." Harry told her.

"He'd lost his parents, and he just want to be with us. Am I right, Tsubaki?" Watari added. Kaori nodded and shuddered slightly, just in time for the class to start as their teacher entered the room; a pale-faced man with premature lines. He is in his mid-twenties and sporting a thin mustache.

"Harry... it's Uncle Remus," whispered Dudley. Meanwhile, I can only smile looking at those two.

"Good morning class, my name is Remus John Lupin... I will be your homeroom teacher for the year.."

"I can't believe it.. our homeroom will be Uncle Remus!" Harry muttered.

And their time in London School began, with Harry, Kousei, Dudley, and his friends who known Remus have further reason to like him as their teacher, which taught basic math and charms.

At recess, Harry and Dudley went to the school's football pitch to play with Watari and Tsubaki. Meanwhile, Kousei and Kaori sat together and watched.

"Can we play together?"

"Of course, Kaori. Soon."

"I like that"

"May we sit here?" Kousei and Kaori looked at their side to saw two people with similar Asian complexities like them; one is a girl with long black hair and another is a boy with blonde, spiky hair.

"Sure!"

"Emi Igawa. Nice to meet you, Kousei Arima!"

"How do you know my name.." The blonde boy then took his turn. "Takeshi Aiza. I know who you are. And I love to compete with you.." His face formed a grin.

"What?"

"Piano, Arima Kousei. We played it too. By the way, we're in class 1-A."

"Interesting. We're in 1-B."

"You're the boy that once played in Welbeck, right?"

"Indeed, Emi."

Takeshi muttered to himself. Well, Emi. I'm right. You don't know who are you talking to. Merlin, he played the sheet music almost.. perfect. But not only that. He's different really.

Then I saw Harry scored a goal, and we jumped just like Kaori and I who were playing.

"See you at Welbeck, Kousei Arima! And one day I will beat you!"

"We'll see, Takeshi."

......

As I grew up as well as my magic, my love with competition went up, but inevitably, there was time that I have to taste defeat for the first time.

"You have done a good playing, Kousei, but you can be better next time. Besides, no use crying over spilt potion." Saki tenderly told the 7 years old Kousei as he for the first time only obtained a second place in CPF, in Welbeck Hall while hugging the crying Kousei upon the conclusion of the announcement, with Naomi patted my back.

While still sobbing, Kousei felt an unprecedented warmth of support. A positive magic.

Meanwhile, Kaori was moved with the sight and soon went over to comfort him."Kousei.. please. This is not your end. Your mum is right you know."

"Mum... Dad... everyone. Thank you.."

It took a good three minutes and lunch at one of Glasgow's finest magical restaurants to him to stop crying.

"My lovely son.." Saki kissed Kousei's cheek afterward before they finished their meal.

Time passed and so it won't be long before that letter arrived, and that's where I will shine further!

A/N:

Yes, as Saki was never sick Kousei never becomes the "Human Metronome". Harry's factor also helps. What do you think?
