Dear Sriju,

Happy 15th birthday. We both know I'm very much capable of giving you crappy edits with some hidden joke in it, but let's not. I want to give you something that actually means something to you. And it may not be something you can hold or save, but I'll do my best to put all my thankfulness for having met you into this letter. Because letters have become my trade mark, lol.

I've never told you this story before, but here I go.

I had published a few chapters FH, and as you know met Milky that way. I had already seen you comment the heck out of Milky's book, and was kind of shy to actually talk to you. I mean, you felt kind of like a Pokéshipping celebrity. But I believe the first time I came up and talked to you was in GingerAndy's book: Paired Up.

Now lil me wanted to get appreciated and loved, and was very scared you wouldn't like me, but you were a very open and kind girl. We soon became friends.

Great friends, even. We started talking in DMs, exchanged numbers after some time and constantly supported each other. And we've become so much closer that I don't see you as Mistyaaml4ever the Pokéshipping celebrity anymore, but as Sriju the vampire catto Queen. Sriju my friend.

How time flies. I remember your birthday last year. I remember the one shot I wrote for you, featuring Sriju and the Sket Dan. I remember Pokesakrocks, caramelison and Itosuzuno29 flipping because it was your birthday. I remember how you told me you didn't want your birthday to come and was super happy when you saw what your parents and online friends had planned for it.

It's beautiful, isn't it? That there were so many fun memories we dig up on a day like this.

Now the times are different. We aren't in a Whatsapp group anymore, we're in a discord server. Our jokes have become darker and we're still jumping from fandom to fandom, but here's a quick list of the things that haven't changed.

✵ We both still hate sports.
✵ We're still writing and improving.
✵ We still haven't met. (Lmao, someday.)
✵ We're still random.
✵ Your nickname is still Sriju, despite my attempts at giving you a unique nickname.

✵ We still give each other anime recommendations.
✵ We still scream like two chickens who're seeing a newborn chick.

If anything, you've stayed my friend for the longest time in my entire Wattpad career (if you can call it a career), and we're still close up to this day.

*hugs you* Know that all these things are the reason why you're my friend, and the reason why I keep holding you dear to me. Have a wonderful 15th year, and I promise you that I'll still be here to give you some other crappy birthday present for your 16th.
