He had wrecked half of his bedroom by the time his mom had called him down. Almost inhaling it, he practically rushed back up, except he wasn't lucky enough to make it out of the kitchen.

"Stay right where you are, Katsuki Bakugo," she spoke.

He twitched but stayed still.

He hadn't really anticipated the number of slaps he would get but that was that.

Between his throbbing cheek and his mother's shouting of, "If only you hadn't bullied the Midoriya boy so, you wouldn't have lost your Quirk. Now, you are exactly as useless as he was, even more so. What are you even going to do in your Quirkless state? UA won't accept a Quirkless student as a hero. Do you plan to—"

"FUCKING FINE, I GET IT, NOW STOP SHOUTING," he snapped, pushing her away and storming over to his bedroom.

His head was throbbing and tears were prickling at the edges of his eyes.

When he actually used to bully Deku, his mom hadn't said a single thing. She hadn't even noticed. She hadn't cared. She hadn't asked him to stop. She had praised him for all his achievements, never lifting a single finger—

And now that old hag was pretending as if it was all his fault all along.

"Which it probably was," he thought, looking at his hands.

Punching the wall had ended up making his knuckles bleed and left blood on it.

He sat down with his head in his hands, ignoring the throbbing of his palms.

What would he do now?

He didn't have a Quirk anymore.

He was just useless now.

Katsuki Bakugo, who had declared that he would become the number one hero had all his dreams ruined.

Only because of that darned Deku.

"How you speak words you no longer feel."

Damn him. Damn that brat.

As much as he tried to be angry, to force himself to think how he would get back at him for all this, he just felt an aching hollowness inside.

The last time he remembered seeing Deku was during Inko Midoriya's funeral.

He had been crying.

Weeks before that, he had stopped hanging out with Bakugo as much as he had used to previously.

He had thought that he would be happy without that brat dragging behind him, trailing behind him, annoying the hell out of him.

He had thought.

Deku's absence hit him hard, especially after he left.

He had hoped he would come back.

His hopes had been fulfilled.

And his dreams had been crushed.

Sound muffled by the pillow, Bakugo cried, tears soaking into the cotton.
