    Kendra's POV:

I know it was a bad idea. I hadn't been there for a whole month now.

I had to admit that my curiosity made it harder to stay away longer.  I am wearing all black and seeking over to the fence on the private property.

I check to see if the dog is awake. Strangely, the dog appears to be gone. What could have happened to the ferocious beast? I leaped over the fence quicker than the last time.

I inspected the area closely. The dead body was there behind the broken-down remains of a motorcycle. I kept quiet so as not to blow my cover.

Soon, I heard voices. I saw a police officer open the gate and enter it. The whole time, I thought Why didn't I think of that?  It would be so much easier than climbing it. It probably would have been less painful too.  I kept my cool.

The police saw the body and took it away. I gasped whoever it was looked similar to the man who lived there. At least, he did to me anyway. They both had the same complexion, body build, and blue eyes.

Good day, there I go recalling things that seem useless to anyone else. What can I say? I suppose there is a bit of Nancy Drew in me. The man who owned the place is arrested by the police, for questioning about the body. I smirked as they hauled him away.

I frown when I see the charred remains of what looks like an animal bone. I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I threw up the contents of what I had eaten.

I should have known better than to have returned here. It had police tape cornering off part of the property line. I waited til the others were gone to let out a sigh of relief.

I looked around more. I found a smaller bone than the dog's. Who or what does it belong to? I thought.

I ran to the fence, jumped it faster than you could say "Shame on you one hundred times, and went home."

I did not know what to make of the whole experience. It was rather thrilling, yet dangerous all at once.

The story continues in Chapter 10

  Until then,

bye-bye,
