I screamed "HELP" I tried to walk a few more steps. I made it to the town. I was crying. I screamed "HELP ME." several times. I was near to a bakery. Luckily the owner of the bakery heard me. A few people came next to me. I was losing a lots of blood. I still had dry blood all over my face and body. They called an ambulance. Before I close my eyes, the only thing I remember is people shouting and pulling me in to the ambulance.

~Channing's P.O.V~

I went home before Jenna woke up. I really don't know how I feel about her. I walked through the door and saw Jonah in front of me with his arms on his chest and a backpack next to him.

"I'm leaving for a few days." He said. Wait what? Why?

"What is going on Jonah ?"

"I don't think you care about it."

"What do you mean?"

"Just stay out of this. Go fuck Jenna." Why is he acting like this?

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" I shouted.

"What is wrong with YOU?" He said. I'm getting pissed and I know he is getting mad too.

"I don't understand anything you're saying. Explain this. RIGHT NOW!"

"Chris and I are going to New Jersey."

What. The. Actual. Fuck?

"Excuse me?"

"Yesterday Jane a.k.a Vanessa's cousin called me and said that Vanessa was missing for 3 days. She called you first but you were too DRUNK to open it so she called me. And at the morning she called me saying that they still couldn't find her so I called Mr. Colonel's office. He contacted with the police department in New Jersey. They started a search for her and I'm going because I think I can help. "

My fist was clenched. I feel the anger growing up on me. It was like boiling blood was in me.

"Why Chris?"

"Because I needed a ride and you had the car. Also he knows Vanessa for 2 years from college and they are close so why not?"

"I'm coming too."

"Actually, I don't think that's a good idea."

"I AM COMING WITH YOU."

He didn't say anything. We just went to the airport with Chris. After a few hours later we were at New Jersey.

I don't know if I'm mad at myself or Jonah.

I should be mad at myself.

I fucked Jenna and went on a date with her.

"Your phone is ringing." Chris said.

I didn't heard that. I looked at the screen and saw a unknown number.

"Hello?"

"Good evening. Am I talking to Channing Tatum?"

"Yes you are."

"I'm calling from New Jersey Government Hospital. You're on Vanessa Spence's emergency contact list. You need to come here. " I'm on her emergency contact list? Wow. Okay.

"I-I'm on my way." Jonah and Chris were looking at me with confused faces.

"There's no time to explain. We should go to the New Jersey Government Hospital right now." I said furiously.

After 15 minutes we were there. I rushed to the receptionist and said

"I'm looking for Vanessa Katherine Spence."

"She's in a surgery right now. We will give you information if any development happens."

"Okay. Thank you. " I said then went back to the hall. I started to walk upside down nervously.

"You are a one bad friend." Chris said glancing at me.

"I'm sorry what?" I said with anger in my eyes.

"This is obviously your fault." Chris said. Looks like somebody wants to get punched in the face.

"Chris.." Said Jonah.

"What? I am right. Vanessa always talked about you and how good friends you were. This is how you support or be there for your friend? You didn't even know she was missing a few hours ago." Said Chris with a mocking voice.

"Shut the fuck up. You don't know shit about us." I said. He laughed mockingly. Jonah was looking at me and he didn't even say something.

"I'm going to get some coffee. Do you want some Jonah?"

"Actually I should come with you."Jonah said. Good.

Chris glanced at me with a 'you're disgusting' look on his face.

Whatever. I'm not gonna fight. Not now. I'll kill him later.

We went upstairs to get some coffee.

"That was unexpected." I said while drinking my coffee

"What?"

"Chris's reaction. I didn't knew him and Vanessa were that close." I said with a broke voice. The fact that Chris and Vanessa being close is annoying the shit out of me.

"What do you mean by that close?"

"You saw how angry he was at me. I mean, if he didn't care about her he wouldn't argue with me about this situation. He cares about her. " The last sentence came out like a whisper but I bet Jonah heard it.

"And why does this annoys you?"

"It doesn't." I said. I lied. Jonah glanced at me.

"It does." I said sighing.

"I know." He said then paused and said;

"You love her."

I didn't said anything. I looked at my coffee showing zero expressions. I don't know how to reply to this.

"Let's go back down."

We went back downstairs and that Chris guy wasn't there. Where the hell is he ? I've walked to the receptionist lady and asked Vanessa's surgery room.

"306." The receptionist lady said while chewing her gum and not even looking at us.

"When will the doctor came and inform us?" Said Jonah.

"He did. 6 minutes ago." Said the lady still chewing her gum furiously.

"Well, that explains why Chris is not here." Said Jonah.

"That bastard." I said.

We went to the room 306 and saw Chris walking up and down in the hall. He looked nervous.

"What did the doctor said?" Jonah asked to Chris.

Chris took a deep breath and said.

"He's coming in 5 minutes."

We started to wait nervously. 6 minutes later the doctor showed up.

"Is Vanessa Spence's family/relatives are here?" said the doctor.

"Yes." Chris and I shouted at the same time. Asshole.

The doctor a.k.a Bruce Kyle came through us with some folders and papers in his hand. He sighed and said.

"I'm sorry for telling you these but she's still critic. We are not sure that she will wake up soon. We're trying our best but she has been shoot from her arm. Also she has been kicked several times in the head and different places. She also has little cuts all over her arms and she lost a big amount of blood. As I said, we're trying our best. We will let you know if any development happens." Said the doctor and walked back to the surgery room.

I need a few minutes to let that sink in.

I can't lose her.
