Chapter 4: Decision

Taehyung thinks about working at the stripper club. He was actually nervous, not knowing what to do.

He's still in his house, hesitating about his decision. Out of nowhere, he heard his phone ring. He picked it up from the floor and saw Jungkook's name. He nibbled his bottom lip before he answered the call.

“Jungkookie” Taehyung uttered.

“Are you busy? I'm sorry if I bothered you. I just miss you.” Jungkook giggled.

“No, I'm not, I'm in my house. I miss you too, Jungkook.” Taehyung sighed.

“Don't worry, once I come back there, I'll surprise you. So, wait for me, okay?” Jungkook responded.

“Can I ask you something?” Taehyung silently hissed when he bit his bottom lip.

“Sure, what is it?” Jungkook asked.

“You know I need money, right? And the job I have gives me a small salary. What if I got fired and no one hired me and the only job in my option is being a stripper, would you allow me to do that?” Taehyung inquired, swallowing hard.

“Of course not, what's with that stupid question?” Jungkook chuckled.

“I mean, like there's no literal job that would hire me. And I seriously need to pay off my debt or something, that's why I did that. Won't you consider that? Besides, I will only do that until I pay them.” Taehyung stated.

“I would rather want you to entertain me than to entertain those stupid people in the club. You have me, Taehyung, I'm your boyfriend. You can use me if you'd like to. I told you that if you need my help, you can say it to me. Just because it's about money doesn't make you a gold digger, Taehyung. I love you, and I'm willing to do anything for you.” Jungkook told him.

Taehyung hugged his knees and tried to control his tears to fall. No wonder why his conscience kept bothering him since the day he made his decision.

“It's just a what-if situation, Jungkookie, don't take it seriously.” He plays it off.

“I can't help it, you sounded like you were asking about a serious matter. You know that I don't like sharing what's mine.” Jungkook retorted.

“I know, I'm all yours.” Taehyung giggled.

“Detective Jeon, here's the file you are looking for.”

Taehyung heard someone's voice in Jungkook's background.

“I'll end this call now, baby. I'll call you later, okay? I love you.” Jungkook uttered.

“Hm, alright, I love you too, Jungkookie.” And the calls ended after that.

Taehyung let out a sigh before he stood up from the floor. This time, he finally fully made up his mind. He won't continue that job for his relationship's sake. Besides, he couldn't do that kind of job because he still respected himself even though his life status was that bad.

Without any hesitation, he grabbed his coat on top of the table and ran away from his house to go to the club.

“Taehyung, what are you doing here? Your shift is tomorrow.” Milan, his friend who told him about “that” job.

Taehyung is in the club where he applied to be a prostitute.

“I'm sorry, I don't think I can do it.” Taehyung uttered, biting his bottom lip.

“What do you mean?” Milan asked confusedly.

“I don't want this job anymore, I felt guilty about my boyfriend. I'm sure he will disgust me.” Taehyung replied while thinking of Jungkook's reaction.

“But you need money, don't you? What's with this sudden decision of yours, Taehyung? I told you, once you have this job, you will easily get money like you wanted to. You have a beautiful face that surely customers will love. Are you sure that is your decision?” Milan inquired.

“I know, but I don't think my boyfriend will like this idea. I just got a call from him and I felt so guilty that I didn't think about him. I am lying many times to him, I don't want him to think that I don't trust him.” Taehyung retorted.

“Your boyfriend didn't provide your needs. If you continue this job, with that face of yours, customers will pay you a huge amount. You can pay your debt and bills, Taehyung. Are you sure about that? I don't think your boyfriend knows about your debt. You don't want him to find out about it, no? Then you should continue this instead.” Milan stated.

“You're wrong, he provides anything I wanted. It is just me who doesn't want to be a burden to him. And I'm sure about it, it's my final decision. I'm so sorry.” Taehyung explained.

“It's okay, I understand, you are a pure person after all. I will tell Madam Boss about it. But I just wanted to warn you, Madam Boss doesn't like people who turn their decision.” Milan sighed.

“What do you mean by that?” Taehyung was confused.

“It's nothing, you should go back home now. Don't mind it, I'll explain it to her for you.” Milan uttered.

“Tha—”

Before Taehyung can even finish his sentence, he flinched after hearing a loud thud. His eyes widened when he saw the FBI and police with guns.

“This is a raid! Everyone, kneel!”

“Did you set up us, Taehyung?!” Milan asked, glaring at him.

Her reaction quickly turned into anger with a mix of fright.

“What? No! I didn't do anything!” Taehyung didn't expect Milan will get suspicious of him.

He didn't plan this, this situation is purely a coincidence.

“You will pay for this, Taehyung! You are a traitor!” Milan pushed him away and started to run to escape from the FBI.

Panic, Taehyung started to run away because the people inside ran away too and gunshots can hear inside the club. But when they were able to go outside through the emergency exit, there were also FBI pointing guns at them.

“Hands up and surrender!”

They had no choice but to obey them, knowing they are caught.

“Kneel!”

Taehyung knelt on the ground with cold sweat forming on his forehead.

“Hands behind your head!”

They did what the FBI told them and put their hands behind their head.

“Looks like we got a jackpot here.” One of the SWATs spoke while smirking at Taehyung.

“Jimin-ah, isn't that Jungkook's boyfriend?” The other SWAT said and went beside Taehyung.

Taehyung's eyes widened when he heard his boyfriend's name. He looked at them, but he was sure he doesn't know them. The guy named Jimin crouched down and touched his chin to make him look at him.

“Someone will mess up so bad, do you agree with me, Yoongi Hyung?” Jimin grinned.

“Good luck to you, Kid.” Yoongi patted Taehyung's head.

“No, please, don't tell him! I'm begging you.” Taehyung pleaded.

“Hoseok, bring him to the prison.” Yoongi ordered one of his colleagues.

“Please! Don't tell him!”

Taehyung yelled, but they walked away while Hoseok dragged him to the police's mobile.
