"Aarrgggh, what are you doing?" Toby asked his friend.

"Reading." Aarrgggh replied as he held up the old learning book he had found in Toby's room from his elementary school days.

"Oh I remember that!" Toby chuckled as he took the book from his friend and flipped through it. "I was so good with this I got lots of gold stars!"

"Stars?" Aarrgggh asked in curiosity.

"Yeah gold stars!" Toby replied and showed him a page with a shiny yellow star with the words "Excellent job!" written in faded blue ink. "See? In grade school, when we did good work, we'd get gold stars."

Toby then carefully peeled one off the book and stuck it on Aarrgggh's arm. The furry troll looked down at the little gold star and beamed before his smile fell.

"I did no good." Aarrgggh mumbled and tried to peel the star off. "Almost ate Nanna cat."

"Oh you mean Mr. Dinkles?" Toby asked and tried to think of a good reason for his friend to keep the gold star. "Well that star was...for not eating him! And this was was for...getting a high score on our sushi game!" He added and stuck another star on Aarrgggh. "in fact, I'm gonna give you a gold star for every single good thing you did from the day we met!"

"Toby Pie! Your friend Jim is here!" Nanna called as Jim shut the front door behind him.

"Send him up!" Jim heard his friend yell from upstairs and a loud creak.

"Go on ahead dear, stay as long as you need."

"Thanks." Jim replied, giving her a smile before heading to the stairs and taking two at a time to reach the top and hurried to his friend's room. "Tobes! You will never believe what just happened! I-"

As Jim pushed open the door, he was greeted with the sight of Toby with a bunch of old elementary school books scattered around him and Aarrgggh seated behind him with dozens of tiny gold stars dotting his arms, most of his torso and forehead and a proud smile on his face.

"Uh....what's going on here?" Jim asked, looking to Toby and then to Aarrgggh for an explanation.

"I good troll." Aarrgggh replied happily.

"I was trying to cheer him up, he went a little overboard..." Toby replied and asked sheepishly, "You wouldn't happen to have stickers? Sushi ones would be nice."

"Uh...no, I don't." Jim answered and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "But uh...maybe try saving your allowance to purchase more stickers. Where did all those come from?"

"My old workbooks and assignment sheets I didn't remember throwing out. I had to glue or tape some when they didn't stick."

"Blinky is going to get a kick out of this."

"Good gracious Aarrgggh! What happened to you?!" Blinky asked as his friend entered the library with Jim and Toby. "You look like a star map exploded over you!"

"I gave him stickers to make him feel better." Toby answered as Aarrgggh batted Blinky's hands away to keep him from plucking off the stars.

"Do they ever come off?" Blinky asked frantically.

"Well when the glue on the back runs dry, but you can easily peel them off." Jim answered, trying to keep himself from snickering.

"No peel off, keep on." Aarrgggh added and pointed to one star. "I good troll."

"Yeah you are, wingman!" Toby laughed and hugged his friend. "You're the best troll to deserve all those stickers!"
