Adil was 'suffering' from everyday struggles which he used to complete in peace and didn't bother spending much time on any problems. Alas, it all seemed to be major difficulties to him. He wasn't able to concentrate on anything. Whenever he closed his eyes, they flashed her honey brown eyes which reflected her pain.

Dil Per Laga Ulat Ke Wahin Teer Aah Ka,
Jo Yaad Aa Gaya Woh Palatna Nigah Ka

He had known that to love deeply meant risking the heartbreak and pain. His eyes shed tears, feeling nauseated and ended up falling sick. He had baggage on his heart that didn't let him sleep any day. Amidst of all this, he was happy for her. She was doing well in her studies and she doesn't look at him any more during his classes. She changed herself so much that he missed her low bickerings in class.

As heaven listened to his prayers, his duration came close and his professor was fit and fine. He was happy that it ended and he walked out proudly with a smile on his lips bidding adieu to his temporary students. He looked at her, holding her gaze intently urging her to talk something which she did. His heart skipped a beat listening to her voice once again.

"All the best Sir. Thank you for being an awesome professor we ever had. Wish you all the success and happiness Sir" She replied looking at him with a generous smile on her face, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. Her voice was husky indicating that she will cry the next moment if he doesn't avert his gaze.

Understanding her, he averted his gaze from her, thanking her and left towards the parking lot without looking back while few tears escaped from her eyes.

Rukhsat Karne Ke Adab Nibhane Hi The.

Asma felt someone's hand on her shoulder, looking at Nisha she hugged her tightly crying for him. Asma knew falling in love is dangerous, She was even aware of heartbreak. Only the fairytales have happy endings. Only the one per cent lucky chosen ones have a perfect love story in this world. She was the unlucky one. She understands him, She gave space to him. She didn't force him to love her. She knew when you are forcing something then it isn't the right deed.

"Why should I have to fall for the right girl at the wrong time. Damn I hate myself" Adil whispered buckling his seat belt, turning the engine on, he patted his heart mildly to soothe his ache. He didn't know how he fell in love with her. He didn't want to approach her after insulting her love. The guilt feeling kept nagging him. He drowned himself in work trying to forget her voice which always kept echoing when she professed her love for him.

After 5 years:

"Adil, When will you get married?" He heard his mother's voice filled with anger and agitation. He sighed closing his eyes shaking his head, he looked at her mother helplessly.

"I am not ready Mom, can you please stop nagging me on this topic" He replied tiredly closing the laptop, he walked away from his room ignoring his mother.

Igniting the car, he drove it towards his friend's penthouse as he was invited on the occasion of his friend getting hooked up. At least someone is happy, he thought looking at the signal. Parking the car in the parking lot, he walked inside while his friend received him warmly with hugs and kisses which earned a slap from Adil lightly.

Grabbing a drink, they kept catching up discussing their lives. He looked at his surroundings casually but his gaze got stuck at someone, the one who is haunting his sleep. Closing his eyes, he took a few deep breaths to control his breathing. He opened his eyes again hoping it should be his hallucination but she was there standing, holding a drink in her hand, laughing happily at something.

His feet automatically moved towards her ignoring his friends' shouts, he kept walking towards her. He looked at her intently, his eyes drinking her beauty. She was looking ethereal. Her eyes reflecting some pain, her smile was fake. Her bangles tinkling with the glass. Her half saree hugging her curves. Her hair waving with the wind. A gasp escaped from his lips, his heart beating rapidly.

Sensing someone gaze on her, She turned around to teach them a lesson but her breath knocked out looking at him. Dressed in a casual cream biscuit colour shirt, sleeves rolled up to the elbow and formal pants. His eyes lost his charm. He became lean, his hair unkempt. All she wanted was to grasp him in her arms and surrender herself. She averted her gaze, controlling her tears, plastering a smile on her lips she walked towards him carefully taking one step at a time holding his gaze.

Ab tak meri yaadon se mithaye nahi mitha,
Bheegi huyi ik shaam ki manzar teri ye aankhen.

He took few steps to her, gulping the lump formed in his throat. They both stopped an inch away from each other. A smile adorned on their lips after a long time which reflected the purity. Tucking a strand of her hair with his fingers, he invaded her privacy.

Samundar mai utharta hoon toh aankhen bheeg jaati h,
Teri aankhon ko padhta hoon toh aankhen bheeg jaati h.

Her open and loving eyes, they are the door to his soul. Touching her with his gentle hands, he pulled her towards him and he felt new, not as clay but as if his body was reborn in its most perfect form.
