For many years, Rainwings were boring green dragons, who hunted, had no fire nor venom, and did not live in the rainforest. One such dragon, however, was very curious. His name was Rainbow, and he wished to try everything. Every food, every way to hunt... every color. Rainbow wished to live in every place he could in Pyrrhia, and he had almost succeeded. He only needed to live in the rainforest for a day, then his mission would be complete. So he traveled to the rainforest, but there, he discovered something. There were so many different kinds of fruit! Rainbow, of course, wanted to try everything. He ate papayas, mangos, bananas, starfruit, pitaya, lichi... everything. However, he came across one fruit, a very toxic fruit, and once he tried it, he fell unconscious. He toppled down into a patch of sunlight, and slept for seven days and seven nights. But Rainwings need sun in order to change their scales the best, and Rainbow's scales absorbed the sunlight, activating all the colors hidden away in his scales - even more since he tasted every fruit, which was of every color. The fruit, combined with the sunlight, gave the Rainwing strength, and he fought off the poison, which went into his fangs instead, since he still had a bite of the dangerous fruit in his mouth. He woke up after those seven days and seven nights, and was shocked to see colors drifting across his scales. After time, he mastered camouflage, metallic colors, glowing colors, and tribe switching. He spent more time on this than any other dragon, and mastered his scales. There was another dragon like Rainbow in the forest, however, and her name was Spectrum. She had color changing scales because of an animus curse, and she was on the run from five Seawings. Eventually, Spectrum ran into Rainbow's temporary camp. She told him her troubles, and Rainbow agreed to help, and camouflaged himself, and taught Spectrum to do the same thing. When the Seawings came, they showed their true nature - heartless. Unfortunately, Rainbow's camouflage was ruined, as he never had to hold in this kind of anger before. He turned dark red and pitch black, and hissed threateningly at the soldiers. They simply laughed, for Raingwings did not have fire nor frostbreath. Rainbow shot his venom at them, and chased them away. Rainbow and Spectrum passed down these abilities, and from that fateful day, all Rainwings have venom-shooting abilities and scale-changing.
