"You need something, Aspen?" Violet asked as she poked her head into his den.

"No Violet, I'm fine," He waved her away with his tail.

"Alright then," Violet said. "Call for me if you need anything."

"I will, I will." Aspen told her as she left the den.

As Violet left, she could hear Aspen saying, "What a helpful young Espeon, the Tribe is lucky to have her."

Aspen had been sick the past few days, so Violet had been taking care of him.

"Hey Violet! Over here!" Luna called. "You wanna play Moss Ball with Lavender and I?"

Violet shook her head, "No I can't, sorry Luna." When she saw that Luna looked a bit upset she said, "Maybe later, Luna."

"Oh, alright then." Luna told her.

Violet was on a Border patrol with six other Espeons. She noticed that Lime the Shiny Espeon kept looking at her.

"What do you want?" She asked him.

"I don't want anything," He told her.

"Well you obviously want something, since you keep looking at me."

Lime shook his head. "Don't mind me." He said. "I just like looking at you."
Violet squinted at him. Lime avoided her gaze.

"Hmm... sus. Very sus. Why do you of all Espeons like looking at me? This is very interesting." She said.

Lime was starting to turn red. "I- I just do, okay? Now leave me alone!"

Violet raised her eyebrows. "Heh. Okay. Oh my God."

Violet went to go bring Aspen some water a few hours later.

"Here you are, Aspen." She said, putting the water down next to his nest. "Enjoy."

But Aspen didn't say anything. He didn't even move.

"Aspen?" Violet whispered. "Are you okay."

He then rolled over and she saw: Aspen's expression was blank and his eyes were white.

Violet shrieked. What happened to Aspen while she was gone?

"Eclipse!" She called. "Eclipse! Get over here, quick!"

Soon, Eclipse the Espeon ran into the den. "What is it, Violet?"

Violet pointed a shaky paw at Aspen.

"Oh my God! What happened to him?!" Eclipse asked, horrified.

Violet shook her head. "I don't know." She said. "But-"

Violet was cut off as Aspen started talking:

Paws of Water

Paws of Ice

Paws of fire

Paws of Dawn

Paws of shadows

Paws of leafs

Paws of stars

Paws of thunder

All are ours

If these paws don't band together,

The world as we know it will crumble and die.

Aspen went limp and was quiet afterwards.

"I think the paws he's referring to are the eight evolutions of Eevee, the eight Tribes." Violet told her leader.

Eclipse thought for a moment. "You're probably correct, in case you are, I want you to go to warn the Jolteon Tribe about Aspen's prophecy. I'll stay here and tend to Aspen while you're gone. Bring Luna with you."

Violet nodded. "Understood." And off she went to fetch Luna and head to Jolteon Tribe.
