Selene woke up Thursday morning with sweat dripping off her forehead.

  Wow it's hot today, she thought as she got out of bed and dressed. She could deal with her body temperature, so the heat didn't really get to her,  but she still felt it. She walked out into the main room, or the lounge area, since that's where the couches and tv, the kitchen and the computers monitoring the city was. Darion sat on a stool, typing on the computer, and everyone else was either flopped on the couch or the floor.
 
  Darion looked up when Selene entered the room, "Alright, it's way to hot today," he said wiping the sweat from his forehead. "We are going swimming. Anyone who wants to come be outside in 10."

  Selene smiled, and everyone else stampeded out of the room to change into their swim clothes. Selene didn't really have designated swim clothes, since the water wouldn't ruin her clothes, and she could dry herself off in a second if she wanted to. She just took off her cape, boots, gloves and utility belt, and set it on the arm of the couch.

  She sat down to wait for the others. Jax came in first, wearing a pair of swim trunks with a blue and black swirl design on them.

"Hi," he said to her.  "Your not going to change?"

"Well, I don't really have swimwear. Besides, I'd feel more comfortable in these clothes. I could dry myself off to," She replied back to him with a warm smile.

"Oh, that's right," He said, turning a bit red.

"Haha don't turn red, it's alright," she said, patting him on the shoulder.

  Zain and Darion both came in a moment later wearing swim trunks and T-shirts. Darion carried a pair of swim goggles and a breather device Riah had made that allowed you to breath underwater for a shirt time. It worked by taking in it oxygen from in the water. It lasts for about 1 and a half hours, but if you clean it, and let it dry, it works like new.

  Zain didn't have any of that because he could just shift into any animal. And Jax didn't have one either because technically, being a demon of sorts, he didn't actually need to breath so he could swim underwater with no worry.

  Riah and Alyna came in right after them, Alyna wearing swim shorts and a shirt, Riah wearing a long sleeve shirt, to protect her arms, and swim shorts. She was also wearing this ridiculously big sunhat, which for some reason, no one said anything about it.

"That was record time," Darion commented. "Everyone must be desperate." He added with a chuckle.

"Oh yes, VERY," Jax said, emphasizing his words, and laughing.

Everyone followed Darion, as they went down a floor, and their back door, walking to their beach.

"Race you!" Alyna called out to Riah, and they started running, kicking up sand. Alyna immediately took a huge leap, and led by a mile, with Riah running as fast as she could go try and catch up. Alyna splashed into the water first. "I win!" She declared.

"Why yes, by a mile," Riah replied, finally catching up, and splashed into the water panting.

Selene, Zain, Darion and Jax, stood outside the door, and laughing after watching Riah and Alyna do their race.

"Alright, race you three," Jax said, leaping into air. Selene jumped up right after him, flying faster and passing him. Looking over her shoulder, she saw Darion riding on Zain who had transformed into a terodactyl.

"Hey no teaming," Selene called out.

"Hey no rules," They chimed back.

  Selene laughed, then heard a splash as Jax dived into the water. "Aw, you win," she said, diving in right after him. The water was slightly warm, but way better than the temperature in the air. It immediately cooled her off.

  Darion dived into the water next to them, while Zain transformed into a fish, landing in the water with a small splash. He morphed back into himself, after a minute. A mischievous smile crept into his face and he declared, "WATER FIGHT!"

  By the looks on everyone's faces, they agreed. Selene went underwater, not before getting hit in the face with a stream of water by Zain who had morphed into an elephant. She paddled out farther, and saw Darion paddling after her.

"Hey no escaping," he called out with a smile.

"I don't plan on it," she called back, returning the smile, knowing this was going to be fun.
