Severino Ramos was an Australian citizen who fell in love with and married a beautiful Filipina doctor, Charlotte Ramos, from a village. He was a traveler and businessman, known for his friendly and kind-hearted nature. They spent their honeymoon in Cebu, renting the most scenic beach resort, where they had the chance to meet Ronan Guzman, the owner of the resort. Severino and Ronan developed a strong friendship due to their shared interest in business. Encouraged by Severino, Ronan decided to invest in property in their hometown.

The newlyweds settled in Charlotte's hometown and built the Tourist Valley Inn, catering to tourists and travelers. They embraced their new life managing the inn.
After six months, Ronan Guzman decided to visit his friend and business partner, who had offered him an investment opportunity in their hometown. He was considering accepting his friend's offer, until he met Janette, who lived nearby and was a close friend of Charlotte's. Janette captured Ronan's heart, and over the course of a year, they became a couple. Eventually, Ronan proposed to Janette, and they celebrated a grand wedding before starting their life together in Cebu.

During the peak of Mr. and Mrs. Ramos’ success, Ronan would frequently return to their hometown due to business matters and to visit the properties he had invested in. Nagmamakaawa si Mariel kay Charlotte na operahan at gamutin si Ronan. Kahit nagtataka sa mga nangyayari, hindi nakatanggi si Charlotte, dahil kailangan siya ng pasyente. Nurse rin si Mariel sa hospital na pinagtatrabahuhan ni Charlotte at doon sila naging magkaibigan.

Charlotte, a licensed doctor from a prestigious hospital in their hometown, removed two bullets from Ronan's arms and one from his legs. During his month-long stay at Ramos Inn, Mariel cared for him, providing nursing assistance.

“Salamat sa inyo, Charlotte. Tatanawin kong malaking utang na loob ito,” saad ni Ronan noong nakakalakad na.

“You are always welcome here, my friend,” tugon naman ni Severino nang walang pag-aalinlangan.

“You’re fortunate to have had an excellent doctor to care for you and a skilled nurse to guide you back to the land of the living.” Kahit hindi gusto ni Charlotte ang sitwasyon ng kaibigan niya ay hindi na lang siya umimik. Matagal nang yumao ang asawa ni Mariel, ngunit si Ronan ay may asawa’t anak na naiwan sa Cebu.

Pagkalipas nang ilang buwan, umalis si Ronan na tanging sulat lang ang naiwan.

After a week, na-embargo ang lisensya ni Charlotte, dahil napagkamalan sila na kasabwat ng isang sindikato mula Cebu. They were accusing Ronan as a fugitive. Walang nagawa si Charlotte kun‘di ang isuko na lang ang kaniyang lisensya kapalit ang kaligtasan ng pamilya. At simula noon, umiwas na siya kay Mariel.

Makalipas ang ilang linggo, pinasok ang tourist inn ng mag-asawang Ramos nang mga hindi nakilalang armadong salarin. They accidentally took the life of an innocent man.
