Chapter:

It was the time of the night, Neil was sitting with his friends on the bed in his room. Vidyut and Ali were laying with the support of his elbow. DD came there and he passed a chit to Neil. Neil frowned. He looked at DD.

Neil: yeh kya hai?

DD: Bhabhi ka number.

Everyone was surprised. Vidyut and Ali sat on the bed. Neil opened the chit.

Ali: kya baat kar raha hai? Number mil gaya?

DD: Yes, never underestimate DD.

Ali: aray wah mere sher.

DD showed his collar. Ali and Vidyut laughed and Neil was smiling to see the number. Neil thinks.

Later, Neil was sitting on the terrace and was looking at his phone. He was smiling by seeing Avni's picture. Neil remembered that he saved Avni's number in his phone. Neil opened the contact list and searched Avni's number. Neil was about to dial a number but he stopped. He thinks. He was in dilemma about that he contact Avni or not?

Neil: kya karun, Avni ka number dial karun ya nahi?

Neil thinks.

Neil: kar leta hun.

Neil was about to dial her number.

Neil: Nahi. Agar woh upset ho gai thi to?

Neil thinks.

Neil: lekin is main upset hone wali kya baat hai. Aur phir ek dusre ko janane ke liye contact to karna parega.

Neil thinks. He was about to dial a number.

Neil: nahi, agar woh so rahi hogi to?

Neil saw the time.

Neil: abhi to sirf 10:30 baje hain.

Neil again thinks.

Neil: ek kaam karta hun. Avni ko message kar deta hun. Han, yahi sahi rahega.

On the other side, Avni was laying on the bed in the fowler's position. She was scrolling down her social media account and a message popped up in her phone. She frowned to see a number and then she opened the message. Avni was surprised.

Avni: Neil?

Avni thinks. Avni replied Neil.

Avni: Hi.

Neil's phone was in his hand and a message popped up. Neil smiled and got excited. He sat properly. He kept a cushion in his lap.

Neil: Hi, hope I didn't disturb you.

Avni smiled to read the text.

Avni replied: No, nothing is like that. I am free.

Neil smiled.

Neil: so, what were you doing?

Neil palmed his head.

Neil: abhi to us ne kaha free hai phir yeh puchne ki kya zarorat thi. Idiot.

Avni smiled to see the text. She shook her head.

Avni replied: nothing. I was just scrolling my social media account.

Neil smiled.

Neil: Social media.

Neil smiled.

Neil replied: oh.

Avni smiled.

Avni: yes.

Neil thinks and bit his lower lip. Neil nodded.

Neil wrote: can I call you?

Neil thinks. Avni saw the message and she thinks.

Two minutes passed and Neil didn’t get a reply.

Neil: kahi bura to nahi maan gai?

Neil was shocked and he got angry on himself.

Neil: idiot, kya zarorat thi asa puchne ki.

Neil hit his head.

Neil: Idiot.

Neil looked at the phone and then again a message popped up.

Avni: Yeah, sure.

Neil smiled. To his shock, Avni called him. Neil was looking at the phone. Neil picked up the call.

Neil: Hello.

Avni was standing near the window.

Avni: Hi.

Neil: Hi.

Avni: Sorry, woh, ek friend ki call agai thi to us se baat kar rahi thi.

Neil smiled.

Neil: it's ok.

Neil got up and he moved to the side. Neil and Avni looked at the sky. Neil kept his one hand in his pocket. They remained silent.

Avni: ab, kya baat karni thi aap ko?

Neil was surprised. He even don't know what to say.

Neil: ab, woh, aa.

Avni frowned and Neil grinned his teeth and clenched his fist. Neil thinks.

Neil: woh, main bhul gaya. Sorry.

Avni was surprised. She understood his condition because things were like that between them. Suddenly, they are bond with each other. Suddenly, Avni laughed and Neil was surprised. He felt like a melodies music is playing in his ear.

Avni smiled.

Avni: by the way, mera number kahan se mila?

Neil was shocked. Neil thinks then he smiled.

Neil: Police wala hun. Yeh sab to mere baye hath ka khel hai.

Avni raised her eyebrows.

Avni: Acha?

Neil: hmm.

Avni: Waise aap ko apna baya hath istamal karne ki zarorat nh thi. Aap mujhse sidha, sidha mang bhi sakte the.

This time, Neil raised his eyebrows.

Neil: aap de deti?

Avni: off course. Main konsa koi mujrim hun ke mera number hasil karne ke liye aap ko apni position use karni pari. Aap ase hi bol dete, main number de deti.

Avni: ok. Kahan milna hai?

Neil got happy.

Neil: villages ki sab se famous jaga per.

Avni frowned. Neil smiled.

Avni: ok but humare yah aap ke.

Neil: ab kya humara aur kya aap ka.

Neil: ab, woh, tum apne fields main aana aur main apne phir main tumhe humare fields dikhaunga aur tum apne dikhana.

Avni smiled.

Neil: bye.

They cut the call and think. They smiled and then they looked at the sky. Neil looked at the phone and then he thinks.

Neil: Avni, kya jadoo kar diya hai tum ne mujh per? Pehle to kabhi asa nahi howa mere sath. Kabhi kisi ki taraf attract nahi howa to phir tumhari taraf kyun? Asa kya hai jo mujhe tumhari taraf attract kar raha hai.

Neil thinks.

Neil heard the voice of his friends and he got alert. Neil instantly goes to his bed and sat. He kept his phone and lay there hurriedly. His friends came on the terrace while laughing and they saw Neil laying on the bed. They were facing his back.

Ali: lo. Itni mehnat se is ko bhabhi ji ka number le kar diya aur yeh yahan ghore bejh kar so raha hai. Kya hoga is ka?

Vidyut: wahi hoga jo manzur e khuda hoga.

They chuckled. Neil smiled.

The next day, Neil was getting ready and he was combing his hair. His friends came into his room and they stopped to see Neil and then they looked at each other. They again looked at Neil with a teasing look. Ali blew the whistle and Neil stopped and saw them in the mirror. Neil smiled and resumed his work. His friends came to him.

Ali: yeh subha, subha kahan ki sawari hai janab ki.

Neil looked at him in the mirror.

Neil: Subha? Beta, 10 baj rahe hain.

Vidyut: isay subha hi kehte hain.

Neil smiled and kept the comb on the table and he saw himself in the mirror. His friends were confused.

Ali: Kahan ja raha hai tu?

Neil: village ka chakar lagane.

His friends looked at each other.

Vidyut: Tu ne Avni se baat ki.

Neil stopped and resumed his work without replying.

Ali: baat kab ki hogi? Raat ko to janab jaldi ghore bech kar so gaye the.

Vidyut shook his head. Neil smiled and he goes to the bed.

Vidyut: Tu kya kar raha hai, Neil?

Neil smiled and took his phone from the bed. Neil stuffed his phone in his pocket. Neil turned his face to his friends. He goes to them.

Neil: main wahi kar raha hun jo mujhe karna chahiye. Main Avni se milne hi jaa raha hun.

Neil: yes.

His friends were surprised and confused too.

Neil: abay, Idiot, main Avni se kal raat hi baat kar chuka hun.

The trio were shocked and they looked at each other.

Neil: Kal raat tum sab ke aane se pehle hi main Avni se baat kar chuka tha.

DD: Sir Ji, aap to chalu nikle.

Neil was smiling and then he realised what DD said.

Neil: Aye.

DD got frightened. His friends smiled.

Ali: wah, kya baat hai, mere sher.

Neil smiled.

Neil: ab agar tum sab ko tasali ho gai ho to main jaun.

They smiled.

Vidyut: jaa. All the best.

Ali: all the best.

DD: best of luck, Sir ji.

Neil: thank you, thank you, thank you. Ab main jaun?

Ali: Jaa.

Neil smiled.

Neil: ok.

Neil smiled and he goes.

On the other side, Avni was standing on the road and sand was all around. Avni saw the time on her watch and looked around. Avni thinks.

Neil was coming to meet Avni and when he looked up. He stopped to see Avni and smiled. Neil thinks and then he felt something behind her and turned his face behind Avni. Neil was shocked to see something.
