Feather (poor girl) POV

I ran outside the house, sobbing. Did I do something wrong? Was it something I said? Does he just hate me....?

I walked a bit before sitting on a rock. I buried my face in my knees and sobbed. I should've just let him be........

All I wanted to do was help....

I hate seeing him cry.

It breaks my heart....

Watching his dark brown eyes fill with tears......

I eventually stopped crying. I sniffled and looked up. Just my luck the moon was rising. I watched Zombies emerged from caves and Demon eyes took to the skies. I cautiously pulled out my sword as a zombie approached me. I sliced it down in a few quick moves. Heh..... That surprisingly made me feel better.... I looted the coins. Another zombie and a demon eye approached. I twisted my sword through both. Weeeee!! This is fun! I looted more coins. I began looking around for monsters to attack.

As I slashed through the tenth zombie, I watched something fall from the sky. The ground nearby zapped as a star landed on it. Cool! I pick it up. Didn't Brandon say about something we could use this for if I grab five??  .................Brandon.......

No matter how hard I try, I can't get him out of my mind. Why? I snap back to reality. Another star fell to the ground. I pick it up.

My night continues the same. Kill monsters, loot their corpses, and pick up stars. Now, I'm not sure if it's normal for a twenty-two year old to be this addicted to killing, but I'm not normal!....... Actually....... I should stop. I don't want this to be a habit. I make my way back to the house. I bet now everyone is asleep. I had probably been out here for...... Mm mm.. Let's say about four hours. I closed the door behind me. To be honest, I'm exhausted. Just in today, I went to the corruption, went cave spelunking, and killed dozens of monsters. Man! Today was fun!.............. Well....... Not everything today was rainbows and rants......... I wonder if Brandon went to bed...... I guess I'm about to find out....

I open the door to our room to find Brandon sitting on his bed, reading his book. His eyes darted towards me. I could tell he was about to speak.

"Feather I-" he started. "I'm sorry.........." I say softly, cutting him off. He looks at me weirdly. "What?!? No! You shouldn't be apologizing!" He says. I shrug. "Well.... I didn't mean to make you....... Snap..." I said carefully. I sat down next to him. "Feather............. You did nothing wrong...... It was my fault I yelled at you. You were just trying to help and I was just being mean...." He apologizes.

"I'm sorry." He says. I sigh. "Brandon........ You know you can talk to me right?" I ask, putting my hand on his shoulder. He looks at me and smiles weakly.

Brandon's POV

"I know........ But this was a thing that I couldn't tell you about..." I say. She looks hurt by what I say. Shoot!
"Uh- I mean I can't tell you now.......... But I promise I'll tell you when the time is right." I say quickly. She looks up at me. "Promise?"

"Promise."

She rests her head on my shoulder. "You know Brandon....... Your shoulder makes for a good pillow...." She jokes, making me blush. I chuckle. "Heh........... I'll keep that in mind..." I say, putting my arm around her. She looks back up at me.

"You know that I'll always be here for you, Right?" She asks softly. I smile.

I wish I could say the same....
