Hey everyone! This update was posted on BoaF (so don't be alarmed if you're reading the same thing twice haha) I kinda realized it would make sense if the update was also posted on the most recent story lol

How's it been?

Haven't written in a while, glad to see people are still enjoying the story.

A little update on why I haven't written or really been active (except to leave cryptic messages) on this account: life.

I know, it sounds cheesy, but life sure does happen.

From the time this story ended, I not only started high school, but also absolutely killed it in high school, crushed AP exams, survived a pandemic (eventually did get COVID though) had the whole high school experience, got a job, quit said job after working there for a year, graduated high school, started college, and now I'm in the process of getting a degree in biomedical engineering.

Life has been busy.

And, to be honest, I lost my spark for writing. Not sure how, but one day it sorta just... fizzled out. And I haven't had motivation since to continue.

"But Pigglepickle, why now? Why give us an update??"

Simple!

I had played Terraria for the first time in a few years today.

The last time I had played Terraria was on the Xbox 360 in (I believe...) 2015? Whatever was happening in the Xbox 360 version of Terraria (I think it was when they finally stopped updating the legacy console editions) is what BoaF was based off of.

... 2022 is in less than a week.

And to be honest, it was so foreign to me.

There were so many new features that I didn't even know where to start (wind???? Apples??? Mine carts???) it felt like such a completely different game. I quite enjoyed it.

Now, you're probably wondering "Okay. We just got an update. Does this mean the story is going to continue?"

Well... not exactly.

I still don't have any motivation to write lol.

It's something that's now only reserved for chemistry lab reports and biomedical engineering lab activities lol.

Though this story has been on my mind a lot for a long time, I don't have the heart to continue it right now.

...Nor do I have the heart to finally put it to rest.

I might continue it one day. It would feel nice to just finally complete it. It's what y'all deserve. I will come back to this story and continue when I'm ready. There's still a story left to tell.

But for now, an update is all you get.
