Megatron had noticed that his one lone Predacon was acting strange lately. He was hissing at every Vehicon that got too close to him, he would also ration the energon given to him. More or less, his Predacon was being much more aggressive and defensive than usual. He would also lay in one corner of his kennel for hours on end, no where else and refused to go on missions. The Warlord was starting to become frustrated with how Predaking was acting.

"Tell me Shockwave, is something malfunctioning with Predaking?" He impatiently asked.

"Highly illogical, my liege. The Predacon seems to have no malfunctioning whatsoever. The reason why he is behaving like this is unknown." The scientist replied.

Megatron growled under his breath, aggravated that even Shockwave didn't know what the problem was. The Predacon was just fine up until a few months ago, it's like a behavioral switch had been flipped inside the Predacons processor. He thought about it for a few minutes about what to do.

"The Predacon trusts you, correct?" The Warlord asked his scientist.

"He does, Lord Megatron." Shockwave answered.

"Then it would be most ideal if it were you to search his area." Megatron ordered.

Shockwave nodded and left the room, the door swishing behind him. He walked through the dark colored corridors towards the beast's kennel. He thought about why Predaking was acting like this, there had been no good reason for such a big change. It's like he was more rebellious and territorial.

The scientist had reached his creations area, the door swishing open to reveal the kennel. Predaking was laying in the same corner as he always was, he lifted his head and glared at the scientist with aggression. Shockwave slowly entered, Predaking starting to hiss. The mighty beast shifted a bit and kept his front legs crossed, covering something protectively.

"Predaking, you have been acting rather strange lately. Are you alright?" Shockwave asked gently.

The beast before him nodded, showing he was fine. He then looked back down at what his front legs were covering, for what Shockwave couldn't see, and wrapped his large tail around himself to form a protective wall.

"What is it that you're hiding?" He stepped closer.

Predaking screeched at his creator before lowering his guard, for he knew he could trust Shockwave with his secret. The beast slowly moved his long tail out of the way and uncovered what he was hiding. Shockwave caught a glimpse of what it was, his eye full of shock and curiosity. He knelt down to touch it but Predaking hissed, indicating he was much too close. The scientist kept his distance.

"Lord Megatron, I have found something that you need to behold for yourself." Shockwave said into his com link.

Predaking was very gentle with what he was hiding, for his great size could hurt it with ease. It did not take long for the beast's master to arrive in his pet's kennel, for his curiosity of what Shockwave had found was overwhelming, his second in command by his side. Predaking noticed the second in command and screeched at him before covering up his possession protectively.

"Tell me Shockwave, what is it that you've found?" The Warlord asked.

"Predaking, if you'd please." Shockwave told him.

Predaking reluctantly uncovered what he was hiding yet again, completely showing it. A look of shock covered both the warlords and his second in command's faceplates, they could not believe what they were seeing.

Predaking was hiding an egg, a Predacon egg.
