I come out into the main part of the pod only to find Sadie missing. Where could she be? I go over to Rafael, who has always been really good friends with Sadie. They always told eachother everything, which would kind of make me jealous, as I hardly ever got to talk to Rafael while Sadie got to know everything about him. I'm okay with it now, though, because this new reality is a million times better than just getting to talk to him as friends. I just never imagined that my life would end up this good.

"Hey Rafael, where's Sadie?" I ask, sliding down the wall to sit next to him. He looks at me. I'll never be able to get over how amazing just the look of his eyes make me feel. I think I would be able to survive just looking at him. As I dreamily think about this to myself, I suddenly snap back to attention. "Where did Sadie go?" I ask again, perfectly aware of his hand in mine. I could just sit here forever, but I'm worried about Sadie, especially since she's not here and Adam is. "She's over there," Rafael nods to the room in the corner. It's really small and pretty much the only bedroom in the entire pod, but sometimes I sneak in there and read when no one's looking. "Thanks," I say, getting up (to my regret) and starting to walk over there.

"Sadie?" I ask, pushing the door open. "Come in," she replies, something off about her voice. When I come closer, I realize she's been crying. "What's wrong?" I ask, not sure what to expect. "Adam's what's wrong," she replies, ice encrusting her tone. "What happened?" I push gently, sitting down next to her. Sadie's huddled in a ball, face in her knees. I wonder what Adam did this time? "He-he-" she sniffles. I can tell she's uncomfortable talking about this. Instead of physically telling me what's wrong, Sadie thrusts her iPod in my hand. I thumb through about 50 Instagram notifications until I find a text message from Adam. I gasp. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I say, hugging Sadie. I can't believe he would just break up with her like this! Sadie just cries for a while, and I try to comfort her. She can do better, after all. No offense to Adam, but he never really fit in with our group, and besides, he was always constantly flirting with me. I mean seriously, Adam! What do you think no means? Everyone really thought Sadie could do better, but we supported her anyway because Sadie does not take no for an answer. She's a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, for goodness sakes! We don't wanna mess with that! As I try to comfort Sadie, she eventually calms down but shrinks away. I can tell she wants her space, so I leave and go find something else to do.

I walk out the door and bump into Rafael. Literally. "Hey," I blush. I still really haven't gotten past the crush phase. "Is Sadie in there?" He asks. Aw, he's such a good friend. Always there for people. I always wished I got to have him be there for me, but it never happened, considering the fact that he probably knew I had a crush on him probably at least half of the time I did. Oh, well! "Um, I think she wants her space," I reply, gesturing to the room behind us. "Alright then," he says, with that mischievous look in his eyes. "That means I get me some Dawn time!" He takes my hand and leads me away to a new mysterious room I haven't seen yet. "Where are we going?" I ask, curious. "You'll see..." We take another twist and another turn, and what do I see but a fort! Made with pillows and blankets, with books inside! "Did you make this all for me?" I ask, heart fluttering. (See, really haven't moved on past the crush phase!) "Well, you said you liked forts, so..." Rafael shrugs, face slightly pink. "I love it thank you so much!" I kiss him on the cheek and crawl into the fort. As I look around, I can't believe what I'm seeing. Rafael should be an architect or something! It really is a marvelous fort. I hear a laugh from above my head. I look up and see Rafael. "It's so cute how you're marveling at my work," he comments, looking down at me. "It's really great," I reply, looking back. I may seem cool on the outside, but on the inside, I'm more like OMG OMG OMG HE JUST CALLED ME CUTE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE HEART FLUTTERING THIS IS THE BEST!!!!! Yeah, and that's why I will only show you what's inside my head once. I give up admiring the fort and come out. After all, Rafael is outside the fort! I come up to him and embrace him, enjoying the fact that I can do this now without the chance that it will be really awkward. I look up at Rafael and feel like I can do anything, be anything, make anything, and fly! I have felt this way before around Rafael, but this feeling is even better, because I know he'll be here with me.
I sigh, then break the hug. I may feel like I could do anything, but now it's time to actually do. I gather everyone around and step up on a pedestal. "Okay, we've had our fun, but now it's time to do something..."
