Ranboo's POV

It was a day later when I returned from the centre of town, Tom immediately ran over to me with a smile and a hug. He didn't seem as afraid as when I left him with my nephew, but from the way that he tugged onto me, it was clear how uncomfortable he was. The travel by carriage wasn't as long as I expected it to be ( but it was still a long journey), by foot it doesn't feel as long. Either way, I was back at the bamboo themed cottage, Tom stuck by my side since I've arrived this morning, he helped to carry my herbs back into the house despite the jar being bigger than his whole hand, he's gained some strength in his arms.

Setting out all of the glassed herbs into the cupboards, I remembered a gift that I've gotten while being at the shops. Searching and scanning the bags, I managed to dig up a few seeds in a little ribbon bag, kneeling down and presenting it to Tom I spoke "  I managed to get these special seeds that we could plant either today or tomorrow, they are really pretty." He gently took the ribbon bag from my hand and moved it closer to his chest, seeing a smile peek through I chuckled, ruffling his hair and hugging him " I missed you buddy, wished you came with me, I saw the huge city yesterday." I told, his eyes brightened but his mood dipped, " That's not fair! I wish I could see the city, you went without me..." He groaned, turning to his side facing away from me. I nudged him a  little, grabbing his attention, his pouty face made me pity him, but I managed to keep a hold of myself, " Ok ok, how about to make it up to you, we go and plant these seeds right now?" I suggested having him tackle me with a hug, I supposed that I was forgiven.

Watching him waddle out of the front door and towards the back of the house, I turned to my nephew (who was sitting at one of the wooden stools by the island) as he presented a tired and agitated face. As a teenager who's only 14 years old, babysitting a child who is 4 years younger than him is still a tiring job. " I hope I get my pay." He stated in a cold deep threatening voice, I held in my laughter, as Tubbo never seemed to be tired but this was good to know that he is human. Gulping my laughter, I placed my hand on his shoulder " Thanks for looking after him, was he that bad?" I chuckled, moving my hand from his shoulder to his fair, ruffling it in the process.

Gripping my hand and throwing it off my head, he gave a glare " He wasn't bad but more like extremely worried, anxious and on edge. He nearly stabbed me Ran." That was a surprise  to hear, Tommy never resulted or turned to physical violence towards anyone, but this might've been because it's only been a few days since Tubbo decided to stay at mine for the holiday. " I'll make sure next time the objects are secured, I mean you were in the house and I never left Tommy alone, so thank you again for sacrificing your life." I wheezed at the end. He rolled his eyes in dismission and walked away towards the sofa. " Anyway, despite my life being in danger, what took you so long? You've came in with bags of herbs, I thought you only went out for a small shopping trip." I grunted on the thought of what happened a day earlier and told him the incident that occurred in the town.

Tubbo, after finishing the story, he looked at me suspiciously, " Uncle, you have incredibly good and bad luck in life." He sighed, making a sandwich in the process, spreading the butter smoothly across the plain bread. I glanced through the back window from the kitchen that gave an overview of the garden, Tom was in the back, a shovel in hand turning over the dry ground to it's moist side, whacking dirty all over the place, some bits hitting his face but he didn't seem to mind as his smile beamed widely. " Hey, how about you finish your sandwich and help us out in the garden?" I suggested, nudging his side, causing some ingredients to slip out of the two slices of bread. Giving me the side eye, he nodded in response.

I smiled, unclipping my cloak from my clothing, rolling up my sleeves and proceeding to walk around the house to the back garden. Tommy was doing a good job so far, I grabbed the nearest shovel and started digging up from the opposite side of Tommy. I glanced at his eyes, they sparked with carefreeness, passion and happiness the moment I came to help him out.

It's been only merely 10 minutes since we started digging, instead of digging up the whole garden, we decided to create a pattern for the flowers to grow on, it was some what of a maze with a large round about circle in the centre of it.  Finally, my nephew decided to come outside and spend some time in the garden, even though the tough work has been already done. Tom, immediately turned to me in distress, dropping his shovel and his happy emotions and ran behind me, hugging my long lanky leg in defence.  I pat the Tommy on the back, nudging him to become more brave and slowly greet my nephew once more. However, he didn't even budge, I looked down at him to see the desperation in his baby ocean eyes to not let him go. " Tubbo, can you go get the other seeds please that are somewhere in the storage cupboard, we need more than one flower." I suggested, lifting up the bag of the purple flower headed seeds, just enough for the round about. Tubbo grunted, spinning around and walking back towards the front door.

Suddenly, I hear a sign of relief from the little boy next to my leg. " What's up big T? You're doing very well, don't worry you will get comfortable with him." I said, placing my dirty hand onto his muddy blonde locks. Tom looked up at me once more and spoke " I don't like him. He  gives me bad vibes..." He stated, pulling and annoyed face while looking back at the house, you can just about see Tubbo and his green shirt through the kitchen window. " Bad vibes? I understand Tommy, but you will see Tubbo may look grumpy, moody and mean most of the time. But deep down he is a really nice guy." I reassured him.

Placing my hand onto his shoulder and pulling him into a hug. At first he resisted it, but gave in and gave me a hug. " Trust me Tommy. As long as I am  here, no one can hurt you. " I told him while staring into his blue crystal eyes and stroking his hair, letting go and continuing gardening.
