I have to get out of here. I have to leave. I can't stay here any longer. I won't be a weapon. I pack my duffel frantically, grabbing only the essentials. A change of clothes, toothbrush, obviously toothpaste, cash-just enough for a bus ticket, and a photo of me and my mom. I was just a baby then.

I make my way to the window and throw my makeshift rope out of it. I make sure said rope is secure before climbing down. But, of course, it can't be that easy. My weight just so happens to be too much for it as it begins to tear. Great. I use my air ability to cushion my fall as I land on my feet. That was a close one.

I finally make it to the bus station four hours later. I really hope I have enough money for a ticket. If I don't, I'm screwed. When I make it to the ticket window, the attendant asks me where I would like to go.

"What's the next bus out of here?"

"Central City."

"I'll take it." I may have said that too quickly but I don't care. If I spend anymore time here, the Bounty Hunter will find me. She is the Academy's best asset. She is relentless, ruthless, and cruel. She used to be my best friend. She is no longer Astra. She is a stranger to me, someone I do not recognize.

After I pay for my ticket, I make my way to my designated bus and get on. I rush to the back and pull up the hood on my leather jacket, not wanting to draw attention to myself.

Central City here I come.
