As we walked, Crystalkit walked with her head held high like a leader, Stealthkit walking behind as if her deputy. Me and Lilykit followed about a foxtail length behind them, occasionally whispering things like "I can't believe we're seriously doing this" and "I'm so tired, why can't we stop for a rest. We also tripped many times.

Then, one time I fell I landed on my ear, and blood started slowly oozing down my face and landed with a big "plunk" on the dirt. "Lilykit could keep it in no longer, and finally exclaimed to Crystalkit and Stealthkit, "We must stop and go back at once! Can't you see that Fernkit's ear is bleeding again?"

Crystalkit dismissed the thought at once saying "I'm sure she'll be fine. There's no need to cancel our whole pitch by because her ear is bleeding again. If it keeps bleeding, we can stop and get cobwebs."

"You don't understand! We are tired, and Fernkit can now hardly walk. Your being cruel and selfish. We should-" Lilykit was cut off when we bumped into a Twoleg.

I screamed at the top of my voice, saying "Get away!" But Crystalkit was all riled up because of Lilykit, and raced forward to attack the Twoleg; hissing and spitting as ferocious as LionClan. Stealthkit jumped in to help her, looking at me and Lilykit expectantly. We both shook our heads no.

I leaned towards Lilykit, curving my head awkwardly so as not to smear blood onto Lilykit's face. As I did so I whispered something in her ear. She nodded, grimacing as she did so.

We both walked slowly up to the Twoleg, our legs trembling with fear. Up until then, the left side of my face had been concealed from the creature. But as we walked slowly towards the male Twoleg, I turned my face towards him.

He said something, picked me up, and started stroking me. As the Twoleg stroked me, he whispered things in my good ear. That made me tremble harder. Meanwhile, Lilykit had curled up around his foot.

Crystalkit and Stealthkit had paused their attacks staring at Lilykit like she was crazy, and staring up at me like I was even crazier. Maybe I was.

But as Crystalkit and Stealthkit started ripping at the skin on the Twolegs legs, I let out a cry saying, "Stop! The Twoleg many be able to help us!" I hoped they would agree with me. The pair of the looked up at me like I was insane, and why in our lives would we want to do that. But suddenly, the Twoleg scooped us all into a mesh container, and carried us inside a monster.
