(Quick note: After this, I will be skipping up to the point of Greed Island, than I'll skip to after the Chimera Ant arc.)

  Gon's POV

Killua and I run off the boat and towards Mito-san's house. "MITO-SAN!" I shout as soon as I see the house. "MITO-SAN!" She looks at me. "GON!" I tackle her in a hug. "Mito-san! I'm home!" I smile. "Welcome home!" She looks up. "And you must be Killua" Mito-san says. I pull back from the hug. "Eh?" Killua says. We walk into the house.

"Geez, you should've called ahead of time!" I giggle. "It's no big deal though." "You brought a guest over though!" Killua raises a hand. "It's no big deal" "It is!" Mito-san points a plate at him. "The bath is ready. Go take a bath Killua! Gon put on some lounge clothes!" No one moves. "One, two" "Killua! Go!" "Huh? Is she always like this?" I rush over and take his shirt off. "Three, four" I push Killua into the bathroom. "Just put your clothes outside the door!" I shout. I rush over to my room and change.

I put on an oversized shirt, which was practically a dress. I go through my drawers. I pull out black shorts and a navy blue tank top. I set them by the bathroom door. "I have some clothes that might fit you out here Killua" "Ok" I hear. I walk to the kitchen, where Mito-san was still working on dinner. "Where is Killua sleeping?" She asks. "My room? He can sleep on the floor?" She eyes me then sighs. "Very well." I sigh in relief but tense when she points a knife at me. "No funny business!" "Kay!"

I get out of the tub. I pull the drain. I quickly dry my hair off and brush it. I put my headband back on and change back into my oversized shirt but with clean undergarments. I brush my hair a few more times then head to the dining room. I sit next to Killua. "How was your bath?" Great-grandma asks. I smile. "The best I've had since I left for the exam!" "Good, good" We say our thanks, leaving Killua confused, then we eat dinner.

I drag Killua out to the forest. "Do you need me to pack lunches!?" Mito-san shouts. "No! We'll eat something in the forest!" "Don't stay too late! No funny business!" "Ok!" We go fishing. I laugh when Killua runs away from the bait, or worms. I put the fish on some sticks and put them over a fire. "It's pretty out here" I say. "it is." "I envy you Gon" "Eh?" I look at him. "You know what you want to do. I have nothing." I hum and hug my legs. "Well you're coming with me to Yorknew and to find my dad right?" "I'm coming with of course. But I meant after" I walk over to the fish and take it off the fire and hand it to him. "Well... come with me until then, kay?" I smile. He nods. "Of course!"

"What about your mom?" Killua asks randomly. "Eh? Oh. I don't know. I never bothered to ask. When I was little Mito-san told me my parents died in a car accident. She was worried about me running off when I found out my dad was alive." "She was right about that" I clear my throat. "Mito-san doesn't know about my mom and I never bothered to ask. Mito-san is my mom. Simple as that." "What makes your dad different?" Killua asks. I laugh dryly. "Let's not..."

The next day, Mito-san and Great grandma drag us clothes shopping. "I don't want to!" I pout. "You need new bras and traveling clothes don't you?" I turn red. "Mito-san!" I shout. Mito-san puts a hand on Killua's head. "Go on ahead sweetie. Go pick out five outfits." "Are you sure?" "Don't make me count" Killua runs off after that. I mess with my fingers. "I noticed that your bras are getting torn." Mito-san says. I look away. "It's not from fighting or over use... They're getting bigger..." Mito-san smiles at that. "Killua is lucky then" I cover my face. "Mito-san! It isn't like that!"

Killua came back just in time. I got new undergarments and bras and a few tank tops and shorts. "Oh! Speak of the devil! Come look at Gon's new outfit!" I hug myself, currently in a fitting room. "Gon, if you don't come out, I'm breaking in~" Mito-san sings. I squeak. "Ok! I'm coming out!" I open the fitting room door.  "This is embarrassing" I mutter.

I see Killua turn red and look away. I look down. "I won't wear this..." I shift in place. I glance at Killua. "Can I take it off?" Mito-san sighs. "I suppose... After a few pictures" She quickly takes a few pictures. I run back to the fitting room. "Mito-san!" I take the maid outfit off. Wait... where are my normal clothes? A green outfit gets tossed the door. "Wear that!"

It was a knee length green dress. It had short sleeves on it. I groan and slip it on. "You know I don't like dresses Mito-san!" I leave the dressing room. Mito-san claps, along with Great grandma. Mito-san pulls the tag off. "You'll be keeping that on! We'll buy it don't worry!" I glare at her as I slip my boots back on, which strangely go with the outfit. "You keep glaring like that I'll take away all your shorts and make you only wear dresses" I cross my arms, huffing. "Fine"

I walk around and look for more outfits. "I've never seen her this mad" I hear Killua say. "Oh she gets like this occasionally." Great grandma says. I grab a green shirt, a red shirt, an orange shirt, a white shirt, and a lime green shirt. I grab five pairs of shorts. "I can hear you" I mutter. I put the shorts in the cart. I walk over to the hair stuff. A grab some new hair ties and a couple new head bands.

I stretch my arms in the air. This dress was comfortable. I bounce on my feet a little bit. "Gon?" I hear Killua say. My eyes lock on a tree in the far distance. I hear Mito-san sigh. "Gon, be back before dinner at least." I nod then run towards the tree. "You too Killua! Also, don't look up!" I hear Mito-san say. "Ok!" I buckle my knees then jump towards the tree. I grab onto the nearest branch and launch myself to the nearest tree.

I lay against a branch. "Sorry. I had a random urge" I apologize to Killua. "Eh? It's fine." I take a deep breath. "You.. really feel at home in the forest don't you?" Killua asks. "I do. What about you?" He leans back and thinks for a minute. "I... don't feel at home anywhere. I know I have fun hanging out with you" I smile. "I feel the same way." I stand up, patting my dress down. "This was a fun thing. Let's go home?" I offer. He stands up. "Sure" We both jump down from the tree and walk home.

After dinner, Mito-san tells me everything about Ging, that she knows about. I suck in some air when I feel a cramp. Oh no... I walk over to the medicine cabinet and pop in a couple pain killers. "Gon?" I hear Killua ask. I flinch. "It's nothing." We walk back up to my room. "I found out how to open the box. What did you have after you became a hunter?" I pull out my hunter license. "I don't see a card slot though." I wince when I feel a rough cramp. "Nen, I meant nen" Killua says. "Ah" I use nen on the box. The box falls apart, revealing another box. Then I insert my hunter license.

From there, we listen to a video recording of Ging and find out about Greed Island. While Killua looks up Greed Island, I help Mito-san put away dishes. "So are you two leaving again?" I put another plate away. "Yeah." "When?" "I don't know. Here in a month?" "Hmm~" She hums. "When will you be back?" She asks after a minute. "Oi Gon! I got a lead!" Killua shouts. "I'll be up in a minute!" I shout back. I look at Mito-san. "I'll bring Ging back." She closes her eyes. "Just... come home safe. Send me a letter every so often." I smile. "Of course!" I race back up stairs. "They'll be holding it in an auction in Yorknew City in September." I cross my arms. "Yorknew City." I mutter. Killua leans back in the computer chair. "Practically fate at this point." He mutters. We lock eyes.
