Alphys found out quickly which one was free roaming. The blank monster was no more than a mere child, but Alphys wanted to be safe rather than sorry. She didn't know the abilities these grey beings had. Honestly, this stressed her out. Her anxiety was through the roof, knowing that something else was trying to take over. Normally, she would have given up by now. Let the more proactive monsters do this. But every single time she thought to run away, she remembered seeing Undyne on the monitors, melting away. The last time she did nothing... the last time she stood by, so many monsters were killed. All that dust... she couldn't let that happen again. Human, or supernatural entity, using her only living friends body, she would stop this somehow. She balled her fists and entered the hallway where the child was roaming. Her back was turned at the moment as she was walking away. Alphys began to creep forward as sneakily as she could, her focus solely on the security room she was so close to. Then the child started to turn. Alphys didn't know why. She couldn't run back now, or she'd be caught for sure.

Alphys wasn't the only one with regrets on standing by. Artemis wasn't there when her brothers were attacked that faithful day. She hadn't been able to do anything, and it had been knawing at her for a long time now. So, doing this. Finally, being able to do something to help someone. Not standing by... well, she wasn't going to screw this up. She would save their daddy. She found a button that she didn't know what it did, but Alphys was was currently in a bit of trouble so it was either press this button and find out or Alphys get caught and Artemis find another way to rescue her daddy. She preferred option one. An alarm blared as Artemis went to hide. The child came running as an automated voice declared something. Artemis wasn't listening. She was darting to Alphys, taking her hand and leading her to the closest room. Alphys slammed the door and locked it. "A-Artemis, w-what are you d-doing here?!" Alphys stammered. "S-saving your tail, obviously!" Artemis replied back as she tried to calm her racing soul. What a rush! Alphys couldn't deny that Artemis did just that. "Th-thank you..."

After taking a minute to calm down, Alphys went to the security monitors. "What is this room..?" Artemis asked as she looked around. "Th-the Security room. Here I will b-be able to find you d-dad and hopefully help him..." Artemis walked over as well. "I wanna help too." Alphys shook her head immediately. "N-no, you can't! S-Sans would kill m-me if you got involved! Y-you could get hurt! Y-you are staying in here... w-where it's safe." Artemis growled, her eats pinning back. "I can't just do that! Not again!" That caught Alphys' attention, leaving the camera focused on 'Sans' fixing the DT Extractor. "Again..?" Artemis sighed. "Mmhm... I... I can't stand around while dad's in trouble... not like I had with my brothers..." Alphys recalled that. Artemis had been the only one unscathed. They were alike in that respect. "Y-you turned on the emergency defense system..?" Alphys asked. Artemis had no idea that that was what that button was, but nodded anyway. Alphys returned the gesture with resolve. "O-ok, s-so here's the plan..." Alphys started as they turned to the camera.
