"He won't leave."

"He won't eat, he won't sleep, he won't do anything but look at that dang computer!" Tim yelled to his father.

It'd been 3 weeks since the death of Kid Flash. Also known as Wallace West, best friend of Dick Grayson.

"You have to do something, Bruce! Your son is going to kill himself with this behavior!" Tim (that hypocrite) yelled again. Bruce sat in a chair, head in his hands.

"I know, Tim!" Bruce snapped. The man ran his hand down his face. "I know. But I don't know what to do."

"Lunch is ready, Master Dick." Alfred knocked from outside the older teens door.

"K." Was Dick's short reply. The Butler sighed at the failed attempt to get him out of the room.

Dick quickly went back to his computer, typing furiously. Looking for any sign or way to get his best friend back.

You see he had this theory. He thought- no. He knew - KF was alive. He'd heard Barry tell him stories about how he was once stuck in the speed-force. A sort of dimension that powered all speedsters.

That's where Wally had to be. Just stuck in there.

But Dick didn't know how to get him out. So he'd been furiously searching for any information he could get his hands on.

He didn't have time for anything else, all he had to do right now was find his best friend.

And that was what he was gonna do. Even if it killed him.

"Dick." Bruce said gruffly, Dick snapped his head up to look up at his father. Then quickly looked back down at the laptop and went back to research.

"Dick you have to stop." Bruce sat down next to his son on the bed.

Dick continued to type, "I gotta find him."

Bruce sighed, "I know, chum. But you gotta take a break. Your gonna run yourself right into a brick wall like this." Dick didn't even look up. He kept on hitting the keys with a soft 'click clack' as a background noise.

Bruce looked around the room. Empty coffee cups all over the floor, right next to undisposed off Powerades and Red Bull's. The covers to the bed were thrown to the floor, and had sat there for who knows how long.

Then he looked at his son. The dark bags that hung under his eyes. His greasy hair which hadn't been washed in too long. The frown that didn't fit on his usually cheery face.

"Dick he's dead!" Bruce shouted. He hated to say it, but his son was in denial. He had to get him to stop before he died too!

Dick looked up at him, his eyes sparking. "He's not dead! He's trapped somewhere and I have to find him!" Dick shouted back. Bruce went to take the computer away, but Dick moved it and jumped away from the Cape-less Caped Crusader.

"I'm so sorry Dick but he's not." Bruce said sternly as he walked over to his son.

Tears welled up in the older teens eyes, "He's is! He's is!" Dick screamed as he began to cry.

"Dickie-bird you gotta stop. Wally wouldn't want you to do this." Bruce said gently. Reaching into his back pocket for his last resort.

"How would you know what he wanted!" Dick yelled again, holding the computer for dear life.

"Because he cared about you. He wouldn't want you to kill yourself looking for a way to save him." Bruce declared.

He pulled out a small Kid Flash plush Wally had given Dick as a gag gift years ago. Dick stared at the toy and grabbed it gently, he just stared at it in his hands. He dropped to his knees and cradled the plush to his body.

Bruce dropped down to the teens height and hugged him as the boy shook with sobs. Bruce quickly moved away the computer as he comforted the crying boy.

Bruce rocked back and forth gently, running his hands through the boy's ebony hair. "It's alright, Dick. I know, I know."

Dick called himself down somewhat. "I miss him, Bruce." He whimpered. Bruce just shushed him gently and went to put him in the bed. Dick curled in on himself, hugging the plush as if it'd disappear like Wally did. Bruce sat in a chair near the bed and kept his hand in the boy's hair.

"It's gonna be alright."
