Few hours later I walked through the forest, brushing the branches of trees that block my path until I came across a gate which was recently restored by the archeologists and soldiers. I put both hands and push open the gate and press on, at the other side of the gate the ground is black and there's lava puddles but there's a tunnel to my left and a path that leads to a clearance so I walk to the tunnel. I open the metal door and walked down the stone stairs and at the other side there's a soldier sitting on a rock as if he's waiting for his comrades. "Who are you mercenary?" Asked the soldier, I was about to answer him but he cut me off "it doesn't matter, many of my comrades are dead by the monsters of the ruins and some I still believe are still alive and I am still waiting on. I was stationed here by captain septeigo but the last I saw him he ran off laughing madly when I was at the other side of this tunnel so I'm stuck here, waiting for my comrades" He said.

I looked out of the tunnel and I saw was an old wall that is crumbling and foundations of what used to be houses or buildings but I also saw plant monsters roaming the ruins "if your here, be careful there's monsters roaming this site" the soldier said but I showed him my sword "I know there's monsters but I'm skilled at the sword so I can hack these weeds but you don't have to wait for your comrades" I replied. The soldier nodded and handed me a vial of some kind of solution "here, take my vial of herbal liquid because I don't need it any more. It's made of medicinal herbs that you can find in this site but I think I can go home since I've been away from my family for a year so take care" he said as he got up and left.

I explored the ruins and I can see the banners that I recognised which belongs to the expedition, one of the plant monsters crawled towards me and tried to bite me but I dodged the attack and I strike it with my sword but it squealed and bit my right arm. I yelled in agony and after two blows of my sword the plant monster went limp. I drink the herbal liquid and it healed my arm and the bite mark disappears but I need to look out for more monsters so I climbed the old stone walls stairs but at the other side of the wall is a lake of lava, yes you heard me, a lake of lava that goes from here to the surrounding mountains. I walked across the wall until the part of it crumbles but I jumped at the right time because if I was on the part of the wall that crumbled, either I ended up dead or injured.

I reached the end of the wall and found a leather helmet which was hanging on the ledge so I pick it up and put it on for head protection, I jumped at the roof of an abandoned building and walked downstairs. I saw what looks like a campfire that was recently made but didn't burn so it must be where the soldiers are camping at and I even saw their belongings which are neglected but I don't have time to go through the soldiers belongings so I opened the wooden door and walked outside of the building and at the front of the building lies an old well that is crumbling so I looked into it and saw some water there.

I had to continue walking back to the tunnel because there's nothing left to explore, by the time I walked up the stone stairs of the tunnel and reached back to where I started I took the path that leads me to what can be described as a stone building and a cave near it. I went to the stone building and at the front of it's entrance there's a fountain that is dried for centuries but in perfect condition but before I get a chance to touch it, there's a group of big pill buglike monsters the size of dogs crawling towards me, one lunged at me but I dodged and sliced it with my sword but the other bit me with its mandible so I stomped on it and killing it. I watched as the rest crawled back to the cave and I chuckled softly before entering the stone building.
