Quintana watches Libby's pale face and tries to focus the healing magic she had used before. Tiny slivers of silver light travel from her hands, but it's not enough to even come close to healing Libby.

"Why can't I do this?" she mutters, exasperated. She exhales, her breath jagged. Sad and frustrated tears form in her eyes, but she quickly wipes them away. She pours some more healing potion onto Libby's wound, but it's not enough.

Quintana shakes her head, clutching the glass bottle in her quivering hands. She doesn't know if Libby'll make it through the night. She's too weak.

Maybe she'll pull through. Maybe the potions just need time to start working.

Quintana can't lie to herself. At this rate, Libby will die during the night. But how is she possibly going to tell Ian or her siblings? They've already lost Julie and now they're going to lose Libby?

The mudkip figures that she needs to talk to Notch. He came back as soon as he heard about what happened. It may just be Quintana, but she feels that something is going on that none of them have noticed yet.

She leaves the room, pushing past the angels and the remaining demons.

"None of you go in there. I need to speak with Notch for a moment," she warns.

She flies down the hallway and into the throne room, where Notch is sitting. He's drumming his fingers on the armrest of his throne, his brow furrowed.

"Quintana," he says as the angel flies in.

"Notch, is something going on? Why are only demons dying?" she demands.

"Demons curse. I feared that it would happen. At this rate, more and more evil will find the demons that are here and kill them," he replies, completely monotone.

"Demons curse?"

"Yes. It's basically a curse that occurs when a demon betrays their master or leaves them after they die. Demons are supposed to be sold or killed after their masters are vanquished. Now that Herobrine is dead, people and creatures, like Camryn, will come to kill the demons in our castle," Notch explains.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Quintana demands, her voice rising. "Libby is dying!"

"I told myself that these demons would not be affected. I know now that I was wrong."

"How can it be avoided? We can't deal with anymore loss, Notch."

"The only way is to turn the demons into angels, but it can't happen all at once. The amount of power that that would take would kill me. It will take at least a week to change all of the demons to angels."

"If you change Libby, will she live? I've been watching her, and at this rate she won't make it through the night."

"At this point, I'm afraid nothing can save her. The best you can do is to tell everyone to say their goodbyes." Notch sighs heavily, his face appearing more weathered than before.

Quintana's breath hitches in her throat. It's exactly as she feared.

"You should have warned us. We could have protected them," she says, her voice quiet, yet filled with anger.

"Nothing could have protected Libby. A locked room with no windows wouldn't have saved her. I am truly sorry, Quintana," Notch replies.

"How many demons can you change per day?" the angel asks.

"Two is the limit. Then I need a day of rest, then I can do another two," Notch says. The mudkip nods.

"Start now. I'll go tell the others about Libby."

With that Quintana walks into the hallway, thinking of a way to break the news to everyone.
