The demons leave the ward, all of them crying. Ian stays behind and sits beside Libby, who coughs painfully.

"I love you," the angel whispers, kissing her forehead. She reaches up and kisses him back before lying back down.

Ian takes her hand and tries to hold back his tears, but fails miserably. They start flowing down his face and Libby brushes them away with her thumb.

"Ian, it's going to be okay. I'll be with Julie. All the pain I've experienced, all the horrible memories that torment me day and night, gone. I'm going to be alright."

"But I don't want you to leave me," the angel whispers. Libby smiles slightly.

"I would rather die knowing you than live on without my angel."

Ian smiles and chokes back a sob.

"I'm going to stay here with you, you know."

Libby shakes her head.

"It's alright. You need rest, and I don't want you to see me die. It'll be more peaceful if you don't see the lights go out, you know?"

"I'm going to stay here in that chair," the angel insists, holding back another tsunami of tears.

Libby smiles and nods, resting her head back on the pillow. She closes her eyes and Ian sits on the chair, trying to stay awake.

"I love you," Libby whispers as she falls asleep. "I always will."

"I love you too. Forever and always," the archer replies. Silence fills the room as Libby falls asleep, her breath jagged and rough. As Ian's eyes get heavy, he hears Libby's quiet voice once more.

"Thanks for the memories."

The angel smiles slightly and slips into darkness.

~~~~~~
Ian jolts awake. Libby's room is dark like it was when he went to sleep, the only light being the glow around the angel. The demon's peaceful figure is on her bed. Ian walks over and notices a small smile gracing Libby's lips, her breathing stopped. Her pulse is gone, and the angel yells in agony.
She's gone.
Everyone comes running at the sound of Ian's cry, freezing at the door when they see Libby. The demon girls start to sob while Wolfie kicks the nearby wall.
"We'll bury her tomorrow," Jerome says quietly. Khali falls to her knees, and the bacca bends down next to her.
Jason walks over to Ian and hugs him. Adam joins, making the angel cry harder than he already was.
It's been hard. Too hard.
